His name won't appear on the ballot next week, but Rep. Tom Tancredo is the phantom factor haunting a Republican congressional primary in Utah.

HE had good conservative ratings too. I did not realize he was one of impeachment floor managers
It's one of the few DVDs I own that gets better every time I watch it.
I don't understand where the OBL gets the fantasy that congressmen are supposed to serve the party. This isn't the soviet union, reps are supposed to represent their (legal) constituents as are senators and even the president.
Both Cannon and Jacob are conservative Republicans. However, in this extremely safe Republican district the race now is between the one who is for amnesty, rewards, and privileges for illegal aliens and the one who is for securing the border and enforcing the law.
Anyone pushing for Cannon is only doing so because they desire the enactment of the Kennedy amnesty scheme that Cannon seems to be so enamored with. That's what this race is about.
Never posted prior to today, avid reader for many years. Live in socal epicenter of the invasion, fear for my country.
This rule needs to be thrown out on its rear. It's nothing more than an excuse for the establishment.
I know this is hard to understand, and I don't like Chaffee myself, but he is the ONLY Republican who can win in Rhode Island.
You don't know a conservative can win in RI. It's never been done before. Saying that Chafee is the ONLY Republican who can win is ludicrous because he's actually running as a Dem.
If a conservative beats him in the primary, a democrat will win in November.
Disagree. If Chafee loses in the primary his supporters will stay home in the general.
You're only technically correct. The President supports the Senate Bill which is an amnesty through and through.
Cannon needs to lose and lose big time.

If you like the Coen brothers' movies, their first one, "Blood Simple" was one heck of a debut.
I guess it is now also about Satan in our daily lives. Jacob is NUTS.
DeVos WON'T get my vote with his silence.
And what about President Bush doing recorded phone calls and putting his POWERFUL support for Cannon simply because Cannon is for amnesty?! You complain about the founder and chair of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus having some involvement in this race, but not about the most powerful man in the world getting involved. Talk about a horrible precedent. You are being hypocritical in the extreme for the primary reason that you hate one of the most conservative Republicans in Congress because he's for securing our borders and enforcing our laws just like outlined in the Republican Party platform.
Calling Tancredo a megalomaniac is disingenious. He is fighting the good fight against open borders. If it wasn't for him we'd be all speaking Spanish now.
As far as Chaffee's challenger winning in the general, I think you are living in a fool's paradise. I am in the Midwest, but I do know something about Rhode Island, and Chaffee is the most conservative candidate who can win. Should his challenger get the nomination, he will go down in flames. Feel free to bookmark this; I will cheerfully concede if I am wrong.
Thats even being reported in the UK papers this morning

Cannon has a 100% ACU rating for 2004 and 2005, and a lifetime rating of 97%.
It doesn't get much better than that.
Pandering to illegals doesn't seem to fit Cannon's profile. It's a mystery.
Agreed. The republicans need their feet kept to the fire, bouncing canon will help.
The same Commandment Jeb Bush and the RNC believes in when they're trashing Katherine Harris in FL?
;-)
Love that movie.
