Yes, I was in France last year, and saw a man with machine gun bullets, an American helmet, and a rusted German machine gun, all dug up that very day. He said he goes out often as a hobby to find artifacts with his metal detector. The amount of leftover war materials in Europe is astounding.

Another good reason to fight wars abroad rather than here.

So, how many of these WMDs are now on the black market because they weren't secured after the war?

It's interesting that the naysayers of the potency of the wmds call them old and degraded. The fact is a good amount of the wmds are in pretty good condition and still at a high degree of potency. Degraded means not at one hundred percent of potency. So the ones that are only at say ninetyfive percent are safe? I was watching that smug sob Olbermann thursday and some war critic deride the Santorum-Hoekstra wmd announcemnt. I'm sure the gentlemen wouldn't mind them if we locked them in a room with a canister of recently found mustard gas and then opened it.

Dude, you don't have to graduate from anywhere to know a hypercritical armchair general when you see one.

BTW, you're the one posting like a know-it-all.

"Thank you Mr. Moose. I view your views as nothing more than gibberish."

Thank you for proving my point. You're all over the Bush Admin for not making war with the media, yet when it times to confront an Internet poster you turn to mush and call him Mr. Moose full of gibberish.

Good luck with CNN pal.

I wonder … if the new al-Qaida in Iraq leader, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, were to order the detonation of a chemical weapon outside Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes' studio, would the anti-war left finally believe in the existence of Iraq's WMD program? If nothing else, it would bring new meaning to Rhodes' shows on Friday when she likes to open by playing the song "Bounce Your Boobies."

I have to give Randi her due and say that any leftist radio host that uses Rusty Warren for bumper music isn't entirely worthless...although aside from that, she does come fairly close.

When your lib acquaintances try the "those are old, pre '91 shells, so they don't count" canard, here is your answer:

When they say that the shells are old and degraded, they mean that they can't still be used as ammunition in a cannon. That does not mean that they can't be used as an IED or in a car bomb.

Putin's goons 'relocated' the bulk of Saddam's WMD to Syria, in turn some were trucked into Hizballah/Syrian controlled Lebanon. When (most) Syrian troops redeployed across the Lebanon-Syrian border, those WMD went with them hidden in large trucks. The entire matter goes back to Moscow. What else is new?

I have never swallowed they didn't exist. How could virtually the entire worlds intelligence communities all be wrong? Why didn't Saddam just come clean and show he didn't have them and avoid all tis?

No, there is no way they simply did not exist. Common sense shows they must have been moved somewhere by someone.

It's the only answer that makes any sense at all.
