McGovern: Daschle Should Run For President

Former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate, George McGovern, says he has encouraged Tom Daschle to run for president in 2008.
McGovern lost to Republican Richard Nixon in the 1972 election. Eight years later he lost his bid for re-election to the Senate.
McGovern expects up to a dozen people to run for the Democratic nomination for president, and he says Daschle has as good a chance as anyone.
Daschle expects to make a decision by year's end on whether he'll run.

Great map. Total Republican landslide!
Unfortunately, they elected one of the most liberal Presidents in history. Not to mention, a moron.

Please, please run, you could help the democrat party win. I took an informal poll and it came up 100 % for you.
106% if you count the deceased votes!

Not to mention, a moron. Takes one to know one I guess. Nixon was many things. He was clearly not a moron.

Run Tom, run. You and Hillary and Kerry and Edwards. The Democrat primary with seeing who can be the biggest left wing kook will be fun to watch.
To: dfwgator
LOL. I second that endorsement. In fact I find it down right encouraging.
Don't be sad, Tommy. Run, run, run. You can do it. I would love the opportunity to scrutinize your cozy relationship with your wife's consulting firm. Nothing to hide there, right. Run Tommy, run. Pick Al Gore as your running mate and maybe the media will be so bored they won't notice all those sweetheart contracts to your wife's company. Run Tommy, run.
To: presidio9
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Maybe they can dig up Paul Wellstone to be his running mate!

I'll join the Democratic Party for this. This is actually a good idea. Join the 'RAT party vote in the primaries for the looniest lefty candidate they have to offer and watch them spiral into the ground in the general election.

That was my first thought too.
But then again, I went to a "dead or alive" site the other
day, and was surprised at how many "recent" passings had
passed from my memory.
To: presidio9
I hope the Democrats nominate Daschle! He's already lost once.
