Sounds like all they really had to do was close the prison and lock the doors so that the guards effectively became inmates.

With all due respect, this type of idiocy is more or less inevitable when you put men in positions of authority and control over women.
Women's prisons should be staffed exclusively by women, men's prisons by men.
Common sense, IMHO.
Obviously, lesbian guards could still do somewhat similar stuff, but I bet it would be a great deal less likely.

Update of Fatal Shooting at Federal Detention Center
The Department of Justice reports this morning's shooting took place as a Department of Justice inspector general agent was trying to arrest two or more Federal Correctional Institution guards on corruption charges. The guards apparently resisted, pulled their guns and at least one guard opened fire. The inspector general agent was killed. At this point, all indications are that the other two people wounded were the guards facing corruption charges. The guards were believed to be conspiring with inmates. The representative from the Department of Justice believes this was the first time an inspector general agent was killed in the line of duty. Up to six prison guards may be facing charges in this case.

Someone needs to do more than that. There needs to be a massive investigation of all the jails and prisons.
I've heard stories from inmates in our local jails that tell of being able to get drugs. A number of inmates recently got caught snorting cocaine in the jail's visiting lounge.

They need to start hiring someone other than the "Trailer-parkians" for prison guard jobs.

Are you crazy?
Women won't pay bribes to work in a women's prison.

Considering the booze and sex, did they expect the women to keep their mouths shut? Idiot guards! Thinking with their peckers again.

With a prison guard's pay all they can afford is a trailer... Here in California, thanks to the public employee unions and their political enablers (panderers) prison guards enjoy obscene incomes and bloated pensions.

It was my understanding that prison corrections officers don't carry guns, even in maximum security prisons. Maybe it's different in federal prisons.

Don't they run those movies late at nite on showtime, usually with Sybil Danning or Brigitte Nielsen as the warden.

When you *know* that the guy you're going to arrest is armed, one would think you'd take special precautions...or arrest him when he's unarmed.
