Steelwolf correctly pointed out that a GPS chip in all US military would ensure that no prisoners would ever be taken.

I think some people have watched way too many hollywood movies. A GPS 'chip' would have no value at all. A chip of this sort would not work inside of any structure. In order for it to be workable, the device would have to be quite large. Second, it would have to be combined with a transmitter in order to broadcast. A device of this type would be the size of a small cell phone. Do you really want that implanted under your skin?

There are other ways to do this type of thing but a GPS chip is not one of them.

Is that first time we lose soldiers in Iraq? How dumb can these people be to think that this is going to change anything.

I'm not thinking of an RFID tag.

I'm thinking of a Lojack type device or a device which allows you to pinpoint within a few yards of a cellular telephone signal.

Caller ID stopped obscene phone calls dead....and GPS on children would stop kidnappings and assorted other crimes.

It's a crime that this technology isn't used on our soldiers in a hot war zone.

They have computer transmitters the size of a head of a straight pin.

You're absolutely right! at the end of this war, there will only be one left standing. It will NOT be Islam, with its hordes of demented savages. America will prevail, and Islam will be no more.

Was Murtha on Saddam's payroll? Sure seems like it.

Ain't that the truth? Can you name me a single Anti-Clintonite that sang the praises of Slobodan Milosovich, or talked up the freedom-loving gov't that was running the Aspirin plant in the Sudan? Is there any equivalent to this hatred?

On second thought, yes there is. They treated LBJ exactly the same way. They just hate war, and would give up anything to avoid it. Bottom line.

This is the problem with the MSM, they take one incident and try to mold their own opinions around the one incident instead of the whole picture. They also use all these so-called experts to justify their positions then exploit the deaths of our brave troops to convince people these "experts" have credibility.

Do you have a link to such a device?

We had the right idea going in. But we're screwing it up now that we're there.

Such utter BS! What has been accomplished to date in Iraq is incredible - The change of the Country over the last 3 years is amazing in itself - The values of freedom and self-worth are taking hold and spreading -

But yes it is a war zone (in some sections) - Our enemies hide among everyday civilians making situations not only difficult and dangerous but often incredibly frustrating.

We are fighting a pure evil that hides within that Country - A pure evil that has chosen to face us there and we are kicking their as$ -

How the Murtha's of the world, the DEM leadership and the MSM carry the cause for our enemies (and against our warriors) is flat out disgusting.....and without question does not help......But regardless we are clearly winning in Iraq (and Stan).

Only the resolve of the American citizens back home could effect an otherwise inevitable complete defeat of our enemies.

God bless these two soldiers and their families. Justice will be brought to those responsible....of this I am 100% certain.

Frankly, I think we'd do much better by "chipping" the enemy. We have caught and released a lot of them, and I think at least certain ones should have been chipped in some way (unknown to them) so that they can be tracked. I'm not sure this would be useful in the long term, but we would initially get some good info about their hiding places and nests.

People who aren't extremely famliar with scripture often rail at "vengeful God of the Old Testament" when he ordered the Israelis to wipe out whole cities and countries. This is the kind of thing they were up against, which is why the Lord commanded it (and also so that the Israelis would not be infected by the same filth). The enemies of Israel at that time worshipped a god that required they burn their children alive and many other atrocities. Seems to me that the same evil spirit that was in the enemies of the ancient Israelies is in the current enemy of the modern israelies (i.e, our enemies, too). God was certainly right in his commands. When is God not right?

Please, may I use your tagline. God bless these soldiers, bless our men and women in the service of our country, and bless you for this very simple but true verse.

I've always thought these terrorists let free by Israel and the USA have already been chipped.

Also, chipped with a terminal disease.

I heard one of the moronic experts on John Gibson show yesterday where she was saying that the capture of these two is such a big deal that will effect the course of Iraq war! John Gibson asked why the capture of 2 soldiers is going to have any tactical or strategic effect on the course of the war, but of course she was not able to answer this. The woman was a complete joke. The liberals and their media have been living in hell for the last three weeks, Zarqawi killed, Iraq government fully completed, President Bush visited Iraq, Rove not indicted, the largest offensive so far to clean Baghdad for the terrorists, so here they are going to cease on this story of two killed soldiers and make it like that the most important turning event in the war. I just cannot comprehend how someone can reach this level of delusion and stupidity, they simply cannot accept reality.

Dittos ......
That was my first thought. I haven't read it yet but another thread says they show signs of torture. Why oh why do the whiny libs complain about a little discomfort or hazing tactics for the terrorist?

I get mad as he!!

The enemy should either be made to achieve room temperature, or be enlightened "by the light of a thousand suns." On 9/12/01, every jihadist stronghold should have been reduced to smoldering ruins.

We have made those wonderful accomplishments in country despite our blunders there and the loss of the lives of soldiers that may have otherwise been saved if our tactics were different. I don't want to denigrate our victories there. But I think the human cost of our soldiers has been greater than they would have been otherwise if we'd kept military policy above political policy there.

As for standing for our soldiers at home, ask anyone in the D.C. Chapter and those who stand in front of Walter Reed Army Medical Center every Friday night if I've stood for the troops at home.

I think that we need to get back on track in Iraq and achieve our victories in ways that don't require the sacrifice of American lives to the PC policies created back home.
