They trotted him out because they knew what his position was.

"Hey! The soldiers are dead! Let's see if we can find someone who is against the war in their families and put them on!"

"Anyone from our government saying this yet?"

Statement of General Caldwell just seen on Fox News. He was very upset that the names of the two soldiers had been released to the press. Apparently the families hadn't been notified yet. He did not confirm or deny the Iraqi government report though. Also spoke about the number and importance of the most recent capture or killing of known Al-Queda members.

Now in effect: That psychological bind known as The Murtha PlanBTW, Are these insurgents on the run? They didn't keep our men as pawns.

We all knew what the chances were they were alive. But if reports are right, this morning they think they got the new head of al queda in iraq in a fire fight. If that is any good news for us today. The one good thing about this is that these soldiers are now in God's hands and that is a great place to be. We all wish them well in Heaven and the head of al queda , well he just found out killers all go to hell.

Where's Murtha's outrage?

He's busily tying our troops' arms behind their backs.

I knew this would be the end result

This is an interim result. The end result will be thousands of more dead terrorists for each of the soldiers who was killed.

Yes, I know they like to say, "We welcome martyrdom! We seek it!" In truth, they are cowards and they get weary. The captured documents from Zarqawi's crater make it clear that the terrorists are dispirited and broken. Now is the time to pour it on, not retreat.

I suggest not doing something that's useless.
That saves money, time and effort for something that works. The hard part is coming up with things that do work. But doing something that's useless never pays off.
If I did have a solution you may be assured that I wouldn't be on line. I would be calling the Pentagon to get them to implement my idea.

Amen. We pray for God's presence with their families. One edge we have over the secular democrats, "They don't have a prayer".

I wish I could believe that. The only major difference to me between these two men, and the 2500 that went before them, was the possibility of torture. I wonder if proof of it will be enough to give the leadership the balls necessary to JDAM Iraqi towns that knowingly hide insurgents.

I doubt it.

Iraqi Maj. Gen. Abdul-Aziz Mohammed, the director of the defense ministry's operation room, speaks at a press conference where he stated that the bodies of two missing U.S. soldiers had been discovered on a street near the town where they went missing, whilst a U.S. military officer said two bodies had been found but had not yet been identified, in Baghdad, Iraq Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, Texas, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Oregon, went missing Friday at a traffic checkpoint near the town of Youssifiyah, 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Baghdad. (AP Photo/Jalal Mudhar)
