CNN) -- With the presidential election more than two years away, a CNN poll released Monday suggests that nearly half of Americans would "definitely vote against" Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Respondents were asked whether they would "definitely vote for," "consider voting for," or "definitely vote against" three Democrats and three Republicans who might run for president in 2008.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely vote against" both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004. (Poll)

Forty-eight percent said the same of former Vice President Al Gore, who has repeatedly denied he intends to run again for president.

I certainly hope this doesn't stop either one of them from running. Once America gets wind of Kerry's military record and Hillary's winning personality I'm certain they'll change their minds... I toughest question will be; "Which one is the very best?"

I wonder why CNN only polled Rudy, McCain and Jeb....? Why not Allen or Romney?

Nigh anyone who voted for Kerry would also vote for Clinton. That small slice of Ohio made all the difference, and it could happen that way again in 2008.

They're in a world of hurt...bwhahahahaha!

Who can emerge from the primordial swamp gas creation bog that is the DNC, and claim front-runner status? It's just a freakin' freak show over there. Gotta love that:)

The rats will deliver 47% of the national vote to whatever commie leftist loser traitor who happens to claw his/her way to the front of the pack. And they'll try to close the gap by endowing illegal aliens and dead people with "the right to vote".

Herself could STILL get elected on a plurality with a third-party candidate in the race, much like the 1992 race was decided.

H. Ross Perot probably confused the electoral picture in this country for the next twenty years, at least.

This is rubbish. No person who voted for Kerry in 2004 will abstain from voting because Hillary is the nominee. People will be far madder at Bush in 2008 than they were in 2004, and Hillary will get all of Kerry's vote.

And...the chic, newly registered vote, which I personally think would give her the election were a bland Republican like Allen or Rudy to run.

Forget it.
Not gonna happen.

Rumor is, there are enough skeletons in the Clinton closet(s) to ruin two elections. There just needs to be someone brave enough to expose them. I keep hoping.

"No person who voted for Kerry in 2004 will abstain from voting because Hillary is the nominee"

President Bush had a much higher percentage of the votes in 2000 than in 2004 and won the popular vote in 2004 as well, something he didn't do in 2000.

"People will be far madder at Bush in 2008 than they were in 2004, "

You mean like they were madder at Bush in 2004 than 2000?
Dude, Bush WON in 2004.
What "people" are you talking about here?
Kos/DU/moveon moonbats?
BTW, feel free not to vote for President Bush in 2008, will ya? Heh Heh!

Dennis Kucinich -- the "bankrupter" of Cleveland.
