Should Patrick Fitzgerald decide to continue to pursue the 2 counts in the Libby indictment even though the Judge has found impeaching evidence in Times documents, I suggest Libby may want to use this evidence of Coopers journalistic malfeasance to further impeach him.
The Haditha Scandals Other Casualty
With the Pentagon completing its probe into whether U.S. forces massacred civilians one November morning in Western Iraq, the damage to Americas image abroad could take a further hit

In the original version of this story, TIME reported that one of the most damning pieces of evidence investigators have in their possession, John Sifton of Human Rights Watch told Times Tim McGirk, is a photo, taken by a Marine with his cell phone that shows Iraqis kneeling and thus posing no threat before they were shot.
While Sifton did tell TIME that there was photographic evidence, taken by Marines, he had only heard about the specific content of the photos from reports done by NBC, and had no firsthand knowledge. TIME regrets the error.
Sweetness & Light adds:
Never mind that now one of the most damning pieces of evidence has already taken on the mantle of historical fact. Time regrets the error. So much so that they once again buried the correction at the bottom of its online archive of the story which few will revisit.[snip]
Time can always sneak in a retraction later when nobody is looking, once the story has gotten legs.

This should be exposed every time the word Haditha or Anderson Cooper or Scooter is mentioned.
In the original version of this story, TIME reported that "one of the most damning pieces of evidence (turns out to be nonexistent) investigators have in their possession, John Sifton of Human Rights Watch told Time's Tim McGirk, is a photo, taken by a Marine with his cell phone that shows Iraqis kneeling and thus posing no threat before they were shot."
While Sifton did tell TIME that there was photographic evidence, (HE LIED, as there is NO such evidence found) taken by Marines, he had only heard about the specific content of the photos from reports done by NBC, and had no firsthand knowledge. TIME regrets the error. (yeah sure you do!)
FAKE but ACCURATE in the NEWS.
Disgusting, isn't it? Gotta go feed the troops : ) Back later....................
Just imagine it being your first week as White House reporter...and coming up with the biggest "phoney story" of the year.
The fact that Fitzgerald asked to extend his scope idicates a change of plans as far as HOW to puursue this.
So did Fitz look at what he had and then ask to extend his scope. Sounds like Plan A (outing an agent) just wasn't going to work.
Sand in his eyes??? Me thinks not. More like dollar signs...a big fat promise from the Dems.
Valerie got hers via a book deal and probably a very nice retirement package. Somehow, I don't think she will stay with Joe forever. She didn't need him before and needs him less now. She's paying his way!!
ROTFLMAO. IMO Time is about to regret lots more than their many "errors". Hint to Time: if you know it's a lie, it's not an "error" and this is all going to blow up in your face.
I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Tim McGirk and John Sifton for all they have done for us in helping to bring about the absolute, final, permanent end of Time. It will be a while before the actual death rattle sounds, but I'm pretty sure it's on the way and McGirk and Sifton have played a huge part.
Give them a big THANK YOU and a hug for me!
