ABC News Update:
BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP)— Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

For sure. Irregardless of what his justice may be, his death has paid his debt to mankind, regardless of the debt or the worthlessness of the life he put up as collateral, that's all he had and all his debtors can ever collect.

Exactly. And from a practical standpoint, anything we or the Iraqis would have done would have cost money. Some say he should have been captured alive. I don't think so, again because of the cost to keep him around. But more importantly, there was that possibility he could have been sprung from jail. In fact, on a documentary about him last night, it said he had been imprisoned at least once, maybe twice, and let go. I would not have wanted the risk of release to happen again.
I really don't understand the lefties whining about this guy dying. One second they say that Bush created him in the first place by invading Iraq. The next second, they say Bush could have killed him in 2002, BEFORE THE IRAQ WAR. These two things contradict each other.

Even worse, there was a moonbat on a local tv talk show last night who claimed that Al Zaqari did not really exist. He was a propaganda tool created by the U.S. Government and any films of him were done with an actor (or actors) by the military. Supposedly, the photos of his lifeless body were also created by the U.S., using this actor and painting the blood and wounds on his face. The hostess of the show, a leftist herself, didn't comment much, but the expression on her face said it all. The word "incredulous" doesn't even begin to describe it. I never laughed so hard in my life.

Oh swell...now the moonies will come out claiming that we committed "atrocities" because we violated his rights by "killing him." Already, they're whining that some child MAY have been killed in the bombing. Notice I said "MAY" -- all that was produced were a child's backpack and a shoe or sandal. Even if civilians died in this attack, unlike the lefties, I refuse to feel guilty about this. The main thing is that we got old al-Z and maybe a few more of these murderous thugs. No matter what the moonbats say or do, it's still a victory, something we should all be proud of. And I'm proud -- of our troops, the Iraqis and everyone else involved in bringing about this victory. Bravo!
On the other hand, one is seldom blown to hell by a bomb without wounds here and there, including a shiner or two.

I never claimed to be an expert but I do know what I see when the libs opine on this forum. Who are they dividing anyway? We've always had RINO's in the Party and we always will. There are States in which a true conservative can never be elected, at least now and it is better to have a RINO in these States then a liberal even if the only reason is it may give us control of the committees and the agenda. I believe in the adage that when your enemy is digging a hole for himself you don't take his shovel away.
In fact, the opposition is far from being composed of morons. They are running a very tidy campaign of divide and conquer the conservatives now. And the "morons" were winning last time I checked.
They're winning? By whose measure? Maybe the polls have you a bit depressed? The polls are pure crap and if you have followed politics for any length of time you would know this. In June of 2004 the LAT ran a poll asking the question of who the people thought would do a better job running the country (congress), the Democrats or Republicans. The results published showed the Democrat's favored by 19 points, a huge number. They lost seats in both Houses that year. In 1994 when the Republicans crushed the Democrats and took both Houses away from them the lib media had Dem's gaining seats. Up until almost the day before the election in the 50th District in CA the polls had Busby, the lib winning but it turns out Brilbay won by almost 10% when he consider there were 3 Rep running against 1 Dem. The American people are not nearly as dumb as you and many others make them out to be and I will be proved right again in November. Not only don't I think the Rep will lose control of the Congress but I believe they will actually gain seats in the House. The left can only demoralize you if you let them do so. The Democrat Party is nothing but an empty shell filled with individuals with no ideas and no message save that of trashing anyone that disagrees with them in any way. As each day goes by they become more and more desperate and as their desperation increases so does their hateful rhetoric. Hate has never and will never win an election for any political Party.
I hope the scum had enough time to reflect on the fact he was dying and was able to feel agony such as he inflicted on others.
I swear I would donate $10,000 to anyones favorite charity if they could get me close enough to the bastard to piss on his dead body.
