Iraqi PM: Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi Killed

BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP)— Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

We're watching those idiots over there at the Palestine Hotel real close as they're doing their rooftop reports. They're seeing exactly the same thing we are.

There was jubilation when the news first was announced and it went on for a while. Horns were honking in the streets and we could hearing cheering and chanting out there.

In our compound, where we employ at least 100 Iraqis, the reaction was the same. Practically every TV in the building was switched on - even in our rooms as the cleaning staff was in there - and they were laughing, hugging, high-fiving and saying "Thank you, America" to all of us infidels.

Several hours later, there are still wide smiles and every Iraqi that has come in here since the announcement this morning has mentioned it, grinning from ear to ear.

Those lying, treasonous scumbags in the media had BETTER make mention of that.

I was reading between the lines during the President's speech when he began to mention the new Iraqi PM. He said he called the PM to congratulation him on the collaboration between his government and US troops.

Translation: 'This is an example of the results you can expect if you trust us enough to do some work for you.'

I'm inclined to think many of the insurgents will go home. A new leader for alqueda? While they may cause devastating hits in Iraq, there is no real end game for them. This death will make the good Iraqi's even stronger and more willing to turn over info to our troops.
