I think that press conference where the general mocked him caused his downfall... That was an interesting move - probably they just wanted to to generate some communication traffic to see who called who.

Oh, happy day. Incredible job done by Task Force 145 and every single soldier fighting towards a peaceful Iraq.
The only thing I have to complain about is that the news stations just HAD to have Michael Berg on the air for his 'reaction.' The guy is a peacenik crackpot and his son did NOT share his philosphies.
Can't wait to hear the Pres at 7:30. I know he'll keep it low key because he's a class act but I'm certain I'll see a twinkle in his eye on this obviously momentous news.

Well, we certainly do still 'have work to do'. Don't you know that the dims are just having a fit?
Our lovely President will be very presidential - and make his enemies just that much more crazy.

One of the other professors said, "He's lucky: otherwise the Americans would have sent him to one of the secret prisons." I'm sure he'd prefer the secret prison to where he is now.
That said, there was no point in taking him alive. He's as hard core a fanatic as they come, and wouldn't tell us a thing except for his views of the Koran. Thanks, but I'll pass. I'm glad that we sent the arrest warrant for AMZ taped to the front of a JDAM, rather than took him prisoner.

I only wish I froze all summer long! I had fiance service the a/c this year and it seems to be doing a lot better than it did last year. At least I can bare to have a sheet covering me at night this year. Last year it was way too hot for a sheet and I was sleeping in sleeveless tops and loose shorts. Of course I also had the pleasure of paying for the electricity I used too.
You know it's bad when you can feel the heat of the lightbulb from the table lamp next to you. I'd even wait to take my shower until 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon because I could take a cold shower to cool me off. Using my hair dryer was completely out of the question because it was just too hot. We've had several 100 degree days this year and I actually had to turn the a/c up some because one of the vents is directly over the shower stall.

That is one of the things that I love about the President. There won't be an I anywhere in the statement.

Yep, I heard that guy that "used to vote for Republicans" not too long ago call in on the "independent" line calling Republicans fascists, and warmongers. Now there's a guy on saying this has everything to do with the USS Liberty, 9-11, the Israelis, Neocons... The nuts have come out in public!
To: mathluv
The media is saying how "restrained" the WH will have to be. It will be interesting to see how the President comes across. This monster slaughtering machine is dead, at our hands, Iraqis are celebrating but W must appear "restrained". Good grief.

I'm very hopeful that the victims and the perpetrator will be in very different locations.
And thus the victims will not have a moment of anquish. All tears wiped away. They will know their murderer is gone to the pit, never to be seen again.

Unfortunately that is true. The MSM feeds that by placing everything that happens into the context of partisan politics. Instead of being good news for America, the question is, "Does this help Bush?"

Sigh. Biden is just such a low life. I had a hope that perhaps he could have had something positive to say.

Some think that we nail all their leaders and when we have most of them we go in for the final event. My question is will Pelosi and Murtha now go into a period of mourning?
The rats are in a tizzy.
