A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Islamist: *Me Lie* about Haditha. Your Media laps it up
by JohnHuang2
The story of Haditha puts national security -- the GOP's forte -- back on the front burner. Which means it's probably a clever Rovian plot to help the smirking, lying, right-wing, warmongering Rethuglican Cowboy Chimperor win a turd term.
Actually, it's Democrats who can't stop talking about Haditha. Maybe it's because they're worried they'll never win the White House back.
Even skewed media polls show Hillary having no chance of getting elected president. Same polls show Gore's chances as promising as Hillary's (though slightly better than Jerry Springer's.) No better prospects on the horizon, either. So, Democrats are hoping some young Iraq War veteran goes before the Senate to denounce the military and confess he committed war crimes in Haditha. Democrats can then run this new "electable" medal-throwing Gigolo ketchup boy for president. This strategy worked so well for them in '04.
Democrats like Fallujah Congressman John Murtha claim the story of Haditha proves what a COLD-BLOODED, ILLEGAL TERRORIZING BAND OF MURDERERS and BABY-KILLERS our troops are -- troops which we Democrats love and support, of course!
Head-hackings and car-bombings and kidnappings by those precious little darling Iraqi "insurgents" never elicit much outrage from libbies, but they're really worked up over Haditha. Civilians were allegedly targeted. CIVILIANS! Something al-Qaeda would never do.
The notion of American troops as trigger-happy, "brutal occupiers" with little regard for life is a notion firmly held by Sunni Arabs, Islamic clerics, al-Qaeda and Democrats in Washington.
With so many conflicting "reports" about what happened last November 19, no one really knows what happened. Except the Democrats.
Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood!" screamed John Murtha, obviously trying to put things in perspective. Democrats are also screaming "My Lai massacre"! And "cover-up"!
Offering his most coherent observation yet, Murtha said "we don't know how far" up the chain of command this (cover-up) goes, but "it goes right up the chain of command." Sen. Carl Levin, ranking Democrat on the Armed Services Committee, says there's "the real possibility of a cover-up."
As part of the cover-up, the White House has been briefing Congress and the Pentagon earlier this year launched two investigations. Several months ago, military investigators had even asked families of the alleged Haditha victims for permission to exhume bodies for forensic tests. "No way we can ever agree to that," Khaled Salem Rsayef, a lawyer representing families of the alleged victims, was quoted by AP as saying. "Under Islamic teachings, exhuming bodies is prohibited, but is allowed on a case-by-case basis" -- sorta like suicide bombings, hijackings, kidnappings and beheadings.
Rsayef claims he witnessed the raid by a group of Marines that day from the rooftop of his house. He insists there was a second group of Marines shooting from the grassy knoll.
If only I could spray what Rsayef is claiming on the leaves of my Mango tree. It would look beautiful.
In the aftermath of Haditha, the military has ordered that all coalition troops receive special training in ethics -- ethics undoubtedly being an important issue to Democrats like Rep. William Jefferson.
According to the "original" report brought to you by al-TIME magazine, featuring "reporter" and Osama shoe-shine boy, Tim McGirk, who spent the first Thanksgiving after 9/11 with the Taliban, the whole thing began when U.S. Marines last November allegedly went postal on two dozen "unarmed civilians" in Haditha after a deadly roadside bomb tore a fellow Marine in half. Haditha is in Anbar Province, which is one giant combat zone, but somehow our troops managed to find the only "unarmed" civilians in the whole area. To Snuff them out.
Of course, U.S. troops in March "intentionally" killed "innocent civilians" during a raid of the village of Ishaqi, near Baghdad. That was the allegation. In other words, they were accused of impersonating Janet Reno's FBI in Waco. A subsequent investigation cleared the troops of any wrongdoing. It turns out that shots had been fired from the direction of the "innocent" "unarmed" civilians. (Muslims want to kill U.S. troops -- what a concept.) But troops "followed normal procedures in raising the level of force as they came under attack upon approaching a building where they believed an al-Qaida terrorist was hiding," (AP, 6/2/06.) The brave al-Qaeda figure ran from the scene. He was later captured.
According to the AP, footage shot by their TV "cameraman at the location" showed the obligatory dead children, and a tortured/mutilated gay/disabled puppy of color. Had to be Bush's neo-KKKon troops.
Just as in Haditha, conveniently there was a "witness" here too! Actually, Rsayef, the Haditha lawyer, admits he didn't really witness the "killings" in person. The "killings" were supposedly recounted to him the next day by "survivors." No party of interest here.
In the Ishaqi incident, Riyadh Majid, who says he's the nephew of the household head who was killed, claims U.S. helicopters landed and troops raided the home.
The Religion of Peace teaches Muslims to lie like cheap whores against infidels, so we should always take Muslims at their word.
The centuries-old Islamic practice is called "taqiyya." English translation: Me Lie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Islamopignazis well know they can't beat our fighting men on the battlefield, so they gear their efforts at winning the war in the western press. The treacherous vermin who toil for rags like TIME are all to happy to assist -- fake photos of U.S. and British soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners, published by the Boston Globe; the "brutal Afghan winter" quagmires; fake body counts of Iraqi civilians "murdered" by Bush and Rummy; chilling tales of "torture" in Gitmo; fake wedding "massacres"; the "looting" of the Baghdad Museum; Bush "spying" on al-Qaeda-Americans, etc.
Then there's the case of the grisly photo of the executed 19 Shiite fishermen and National Guardsmen, kidnapped and murdered by terrorists inside a sports stadium, which the UK Times, in a "report" from June 1, tried to link to the Nov. 19 Haditha incident with the headline, Massacre Marines blinded by hate. The report was filed by Dan Rather and Mary Mapes.
For the terrorists, Haditha has unbridled propaganda value. For the bed-wetting white flag crowd in the press, it's yet another chance to Vietnamize Iraq. And serve up more Religion of Peace kool-Aid. But it won't work. Not this time.
And to those in the press smearing our brave fighting men and women, I give you my middle-finger salute.
Anyway, that's... .
My Two Cents...
Ka-POW!!! Ka-BOOM!!! Hooray for the Iraqi people - they have endured so much, and continue to endure much more than any people should, but they are getting a taste of freedom and they believe - they know it will get better.
This was on pookie's. I just reduced size, cropped, vignetted it on the coin bg, changed up the text a little.
