Explosive facts
Jewish World Review ^ | June 7, 2006 | Thomas Sowell

Posted on 06/07/2006 7:19:43 AM PDT by conservativecorner

Each year about this time, some parents write in to ask for suggestions of things for their children to read during the summer, in order to counteract the steady diet of liberal-left indoctrination they have been getting in schools and colleges.

This year there is a new book that is almost tailor-made for that purpose. Its title is "Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies" by Gregory Jackson. In it, all sorts of political and media spin are shot to pieces by hard facts.

If you think that the Constitution of the United States provides for "separation of church and state," that George W. Bush is not as smart as either Al Gore or John Kerry, or that the big-money donors to political campaigns give more to the Republicans than to the Democrats, this book provides documented facts showing the opposite.

The book goes literally from A to Z, with 26 chapters covering subjects from abortion to zealots who are terrorists.

The fact is that George W. Bush and John Kerry both went to Yale, where Bush had a higher grade-point average. Bush also scored higher than Kerry on intelligence tests that both took in the military. Gore went to Harvard, where he finished in the bottom fifth of his class two years in a row.

I can't understand why Sowell give Gore credit for attending Harvard but doesn't mention Bush's MBA from Harvard.

Because he was talking about their undergraduate degrees, and you can't fit everything into an 800-word column. Shame about that; comparing grad school performance, Kerry and Gore fare even worse.

JFK only had a 119 IQ

Kerry's was just marginally higher
GW's was higher than both of them

But you can't beat power & millions to get elected

Anyone want to rent a few points?

Nobody on the left ever dares to compare their IQ to Nixon's

Nixon was squishy on programs he dumped on us that the libs went sild on - EPA, etc.

But Nixon - like Churchill - foresaw the evil cult of Islam and warned us

Nobody listened to either one

-- Nixon - the elected yet not yet inaugurated President that ordered John Kerry into Cambodia on Christmas Eve 1968

-- "Irish John" Kerry-Kohn-Con is a moron who repeated that fable on the floor of the US Senate

I'll look into it. It might be something to buy two of, one for the car and one for the home.

I go there on a regular basis and I must say it's truely strange. It's like we live on two different planets.

Gore went to Harvard, where he finished in the bottom fifth of his class two years in a row.

Gore Vidal, who I believe shares a grandfather with this Al Gore creature, considers him mighty dumb. He had to be pushed and tutored through prep school and could not handle Maths, Sciences, or History. His father, Senator-For-Life-Gore of Tennessee, was a crook of truly outstanding dimensions, totally in the pocket of Armand Hammer, the KGB Agent, and the USSR's Trade Representative in the US.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it weren't the commie-connection that got him into Harvard, where despite never taking a hard course, he again had to be tutored every inch of the way, this time by left-Wing luminaries, doubtless selected by Mr. Hammer.

Gore, Sr. ran every known scam, including his classic "Cattle Auction." Big donors would come down to the Gore Farm and bid astronomical sums on his "prize" cattle. The cattle, which never, of course, changed hands, were then placed under "The Management" of Gore, Sr., again under extremely lucrative terms for Gore, Sr.

Al Gore grew up (so to speak) in fancy hotels, underwritten by Armand Hammer, and the family lived off room service for years. Al Gore's life story very closely resembles the life of Heloise at the Plaza: A Communist-Subsidized Heloise.

Chris Dodd, whose old man was Senator-for-Life from Connecticut, and a gargantuan scam-artist in the pay of the insurance industry, has a somewhat similar history. His commie-connection was a great deal more fun, though. He was Bianca Jagger's main squeeze, and I'm sure she squeezed many an interesting item for the Sandinistas out of young Chris, who had been known to terrorize DC in the company of a fat guy who drinks a lot and snorts coke, named Ted, another Senator-for-Life from somehwere in New England, I think..

W, in contrast, escaped the intensive tutoring these two required to get through school, and probably read a book or two. He's plenty smart enough. Now if he could only find the time to listen to us about illegal immigration and government spending.

I used to go there often but don't seem to have the time anymore. They believe the total opposite of what we believe!
