June 7, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - Conservative rabble-rouser Ann Coulter created an uproar among 9/11 victims' families yesterday after she charged in her new book that a group of "self-obsessed" politically active widows are enjoying their husbands' deaths.
The razor-tongued blond polemicist made unflattering remarks about the high-profile widows who liked to call themselves the "Jersey girls." In Coulter's latest book, "Godless," she calls them "harpies" and the "Witches of East Brunswick."

It almost seems like a set-up for everyone. Ann Coulter gets publicity for her book. The "Jersey Girls" get a little extra attention. The talk shows get ratings.
However, It's hard to believe the MSM would deliberately promote Ann's book ... unless it's published by the conglomerate that owns the TV network, too ...
What racism? This is equal opportunity applied fair and square. The Muslim terrorists are going to kill all Jews, all Gays and all Black folk that are not Muslim. I have spent significant ime in the Middle East, and I can assure you, Muslims in general hate all Jews, all Gays, and all Sub-Saharan and American Blacks that are not of the Muslim religion. That's reality!!! Only these idiots (Jews, Gays & Blacks) don't have a clue!!! I guess they have strong death wishes!!!

Yeah. Let's imitate Coulter's rhetoric in the upcoming mid-terms. Let's ridicule widows who haven't been around for months, and demonstrate our shoe-sized IQs by saying that these same widows ought to pose for Playboy.
The GOP would lose 50 House seats.

Britweiser claimed she was bi-partisan, but she attacked Bush on MSNBC saying he (Bush/feds) should have risked racial profiling lawsuits prior to 9/11 to keep attack from happening. Then she campaigned with Kerry. But guess what? In 2006 when the demon-rats attacked Bush for listening to terrorist phone calls, not a peep from her. Like Kennedy and Schumer it's all about attacking Bush and nothing else.
I greatly dislike the Jersey Girls, but this comment by Ann is terrible. The rest of the comments that she makes about them I agree with-- they act like they personally were attacked instead of the country. And they act as if they should be consulted about eveything.
But to say that they are "enjoying their husbands deaths" is to me very wrong.
Of course she didn't. That's why she has no syndicated column any longer and is rarely invited to make appearances unless she's shilling a book (except by her buddy Sean Hannity).
She needs to make all the money she can on this book. After her inane attitude toward evolution, even more conservatives are going to walk away from her.

Yup and I commend her bravery to actually say what people are thinking. Greiving will buy you some time ( and it should) but these folks use up their greiving time about 4 years ago. Now they qualify as opportunists. Kinda like Cindy.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you there. The Jersey Girls were over-the-top with their criticism of President Bush. They were not even handed and they made assertions that would have been revealed to be nonsense had anybody else made them.
They were shamelessly used by the Democrats to damage the President. I don't know if the set out to be used, but they certainly did nothing about it when it became obvious that was what was going on.
Since when does the left have a problem with anger and hate? If it isn't directed against the president they find it out of bounds?
It seems using 9/11 as a shield, is pretty popular these days, for a lot of folks...
