SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine --Former President Bill Clinton joined prominent state Democrats in praising Gov. John Baldacci's record of achievement at a fundraiser that netted more than $100,000 for Baldacci's re-election campaign on Monday.
Clinton praised Baldacci for eliminating a $1 billion budget shortfall that confronted him in his first year in office, for stimulating the economy and for bringing health insurance to more Mainers, as well as reversing a trend of outward migration from the state.

I sure pray we don't have 4 more years with this idiot!
Neither can I.
Bill Clinton loves Maine...because Hillary! isn't there.
PS-Yes, he did help eliminate a shortfall, he eliminated some of my son's physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Hell, my son didn't need to know how to walk, talk, or eat properly.
So, I guess you will be going over to "their" side and VOTE for him???????????
(Oh dear Lord please save us)
Maine is a beautiful state. Hope they decide to rejoin the Union.
:)
Does that mean that main is the "submissive?"
And when did John Waters get elected governor?
What have Governor John E. Baldacci and State Senator David R. Hastings the third (R) done to and brought to Maine?
Special Christian-News-In-Maine.com report.
Caution, we are going to have some very graphic information and links in the bleow special report, this is not for children and it is not for those who have eaten within the last ten hours. This is the tip of the iceberg of what Baldacci and his ilk are bringing to Maine.
Not long ago the radical homosexuals in the state, with the aid of their pro-homosexual partners in the main stream media and body politic, attacked Mike Heath relentlessly for his wanting to identify those politicians in the state who were either openly homosexuals and/or fully supported the radical sodomite homosexual agenda in the state.
While the extreme left wing at the Portland Press Herald, all three major televisions stations, the Bangor Dally, and others went after Mike viciously and relentlessly, they ignored the fact that the information is already available thanks to the same radical homosexual groups that sicced their allies on Mike.
According to: http://www.actwin.com/eatonohio/gay/stategov.htm Governor John Elias Baldacci holds an "A" rating with the radical homosexuals and only one governor in the country has a higher rating, Democrat Doyle of Wisconsin has the only A=+ rating.
Complete list
According to: http://www.actwin.com/eatonohio/gay/openhopo.htm Maine has more than it's share of openly homsoexual activist in the body politic:
Scott W. Cowger (D) State Senator, Maine [21] Kennebec Co.
Peter L. Rines (D) State Representative, Maine [53] Wiscasset
Lawrence Bliss (D) State Representative, Maine [122] South Portland
Peter O'Donnel (D) Porland City Council
Karen Geraghty City Council, Portland, Maine
and more.(Excerpt) Read more at christian-news-in-maine.com ...
It is also very graphic at times and is not for children.
Jake
You are SO right. It's early and I was in a hurry to post this.
Domed! There it is.
Forgive me?
Had the same problem here in Missouri with our Republican governor.
You sound like someone who is angry that they are not getting welfare.
Maine is pretty good about letting every family be self-reliant. On Swans Island, everybody knows this, and personal problems are not government problems.
It's well that all three of you out there don't have your hands out.
" You sound like someone who is angry that they are not getting welfare."
No, someone who is grateful that a civilized society helps people with mental retardation realize whatever potential God gave them. As the father of a son with Down Syndrome, I occassionally run up against conservatives who equate acting like a Christian, civilized human being and helping out people with mental retardation with wild eyed socialism/welfare cheating. Can't say as I like them much. Around here, happily, when they get into politics they generally get their heads handed to them.
Hmm. . .I just thought you meant doomed. . .
Eliminating a $1 billion shortfall? My guess is that the growing economy did that, and that was certainly not Baldacci's doing.
The Critical Insights poll showed that Baldacci's approval rating remained relatively unchanged from six months ago at 47 percent after having been as high as 72 percent in 2003. Thirty-nine percent of those polled did not approve of the job he's doing.
If he's done such a good job, why the lukewarm approval?
The physical resemblance to Joseph Goebbels is interesting.
