I like that one too. It reminds me of the bumper sticker being sold to both Democrats and Republicans. It says "RUN HILLARY RUN." Democrats put it on their rear bumpers and Republicans on the bumper in front.

Is it possible GWB is engaging in another rope-a-dope?Right now students are demonstrating and dying in large numbers against the current regime in Iran. The US is not interfering. Could GWB be letting Iran's brutal regime self destruct while he calls for negotiation? Could be. Time will tell.

GWB did the right thing in including Iran in the "Axis of Evil" in much the same way that Reagan called the Soviet Union the Evil Empire. It gives hope and reinforcement to the dissidents and opposition. There is little we can do overtly to help the students except express support for their objectives. I would like to see a Congressional resolution calling for regime change in Iran like we did for Iraq.

Iran is already conducting war against the US through its state sponsorship of terrorism. It was involved in the blowing up of the Marine barracks in Beirut and the bombing of Khobar Towers.

What do you think about no one talking about the terror cell suspects arrested in Canada yesterday?

Didn't you read the memo?  Jihadi's aren't guilty until after the 3rd conviction, all of the appeals are done and they've confessed... twice...

And even then you can't refer to them as terrorists.

There IS a conspiracy going on here, folks. The MSM also knows, or at least senses, that any "whiff of ingratitude", as George Will put it this morning, coming from the new Iraqi government will turn supporters of this war on a dime.

Yep.

Commentators on the right will pick up the "ingratitude" line and they will complain that we are fighting a politically correct war in Iraq.

Limbaugh has started it already.

Catch the FNS repeat at four with your comments in mind.

This is exactly what Brit was alluding to, as well as Kristol and even Juan Williams.

All this may be so we can claim we tried everything we could, it may be to call their bluff, it may be used to bring the Security Council onboard, etc. Rather than jump on the good versus bad bandwagon, the answer is probably another wait and see situation to learn what happens.

Excellent post here phsstpok, exposing the left for what they really and truly are:traitors in time of war.

It's a sad commentary on the media and the left that the day has come when the rat/media will ally with terrorists to make potential political points at the expense of our troops.

The rat media and the left are now willing to side with terrorists against our fighting men and women all for the sake of pure power. Power for a political party that admittedly stands for nothing except the destruction of our President and our leaders. Shameful at the very least.

It's well know that Haditha has been a hell hole for some time. Daily be-headings have been held at a local bridge where five year olds cheered the fact that more were to come. Terror types have been in control of the city for months and the entire population and govt. has been compromised. The(terrorists) send out kids to count how many soldiers are on the way. There is absolutely no way to recognize who is the enemy, friend or foe, in such an environment.

What kind of US political party would ally themselves with such a group solely for the potential to take over political power, and beyond that what are their motives for that power? Surely not to benefit the nation but themselves.

It is sad how the English language has been bastardized in order to make cheap shots.

#357, It seems like the unemployment rate is so low that the Staff members that are not doing their jobs and keeping up with their Boss's statements are still kept on because the job pool is so bad they might end up with someone that stinks up the place even worse. This is true in every place in America except Michigan(tongue in Cheek),and California.

They can try but it won't work. I think it was Cal Thomas on Reliable Sources yesterday who said these things cannot happen today because there is now a conservative media to respond, unlike during Vietnam when the left completely dominated all media outlets.

More reason to thank God for sources like Rush, the internet, blogs and Free Republic.

Russert was part of Tip O'Neill's inner circle. Tip has been dead for many years, therefore Timmah's real pull is down to memories.

Steponallofus was (is?) part of the Clinton's inner circle. Wasn't he even viewed as one of Hillary's close allies? Regardless, his pull and potential for actual influence within "the party that matters" is much more immediate.

The appeal of FTN is that it's only 30 minutes, therefore the guests can go do something else with the day, while still getting a place to generate some good sound bites for the week.

FNS has been viewed as a place for the administrations message can be delivered. They are trying frantically to recast themselves as a safe place to bash Bush from, thus welcoming Graham with open arms. McCain still can't come on FNS regularly just because he's too juicy a target and they can't resist taking some shots, but "Senator Lindsey" is always good for some sound bites that will make FNS seem relevant to the rest of the drive by media. CNN just played a clip of Graham that can be viewed as bashing the Marines and the Bush administration in the same breath. Even FNS feels they need face time on the other networks.

And CNN is about appealing to the moonbats and axis of weasels.

(weird aside - Steponallofus was accepted as correct by the FR spell checker)

"The press creates the news they want and then report on it as though it were true breaking news while ignoring real breaking news that is more important".

Your statement is so true .. I heard that being stated by one of the 'press creates the news they want' kind, a FoxNews woman, say just that!!!

#362, I sure agree on this, but in the future especially if ABC is getting more viewers Timmy and Schieffer might opt for less boring and better guests. It could be that Biden/Mclame, etc. may change their tactics or appearance. McCain could maybe look sane one day and Biden may look like his IQ is above his age. Hagel may try and sound like he is not a 60 year old third grader.
