I thought the height of this phenoenon was 1992, until we couldn't even un-elect Bill Clinton because {in part} of the unfounded rumor that 30 years prior Bob Dole paid for an abortion, thus, tainting him to an unacceptable degree according to the Dobson-only-if-you're-purer-than-driven-snow-types.

Just like they supported our troops during Vietnam....Blitzer just read an email from a viewer which said that the only thing missing in Iraq to distinguish it from Viet Nam was a massacre like My Lai and that now the last piece had fallen into place. Now, do you think that maybe was on the minds of the MSM, particularly those at Time? How quickly the name My Lai surfaced after the reports of the Haditha incident (WHERE WE DO NO KNOW ANYTHING YET ABOUT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED).
There IS a conspiracy going on here, folks. The MSM also knows, or at least senses, that any "whiff of ingratitude", as George Will put it this morning, coming from the new Iraqi government will turn supporters of this war on a dime. (I said this yesterday, and I believe it to be true.) And voila, we have Maliki's comments misreported and taken out of context, and we have the remarks of another Iraqi official about Iran having the right to develope nuclear capability mistranslated (quickly corrected by Iraq the Model).
They do not yet have their Tet Offensive, which we won, but they spun as a loss. Let's see how they try to replicate that.

ref #314, It is tough to pick out all the stupid hires that FNC and other have made. I believe that Larry Korb has been on for years as an adviser and nobody paid attention to him until he started talking against the Pubbies that he worked for or against the present policies. They better be careful because he could be a mole, and be bringing back all these insider Democrat circle strategies to the Pubbies. That would be a scary thing to them, so let's run with it now. LOL!

Plus the inevitable isotope surcharge.

Hillary is lucky that alabama/Obama is not a little older and seasoned or she would have to settle for a VP slot. She probably will win as the rat nominee but presently she fails to illustrate how she will get beyond that magic 44-45% that seems to be her peak. Aside from that her side really doesn't want anything to do with her, they still crave Bubba. They put up with her.

Hello,
I don't think I could ever list the amount of things that I know only because of FR. And to think that prior to the New Media, I thought I was informed ~ HA!
Glad to be here, MOgirl

ref #319, Huge Post.....I am so glad you brought all this back for us and others to see clearly. I thought it was Hatch, but you are so right about this it was Dole and Simpson. A lot of us need our memories refreshed because we try to absorb too much.

Post 222 this thread. You will love it. Best demolishing job on the Hate the US Military types I have ever read. Well said Phsstpok. Glad to see other people are getting mad about this. Anger can be a GOOD thing if used constructively. The Swift Boat Vets are just the tip of the iceberg. There are people who have waiting 35-40 years for an accounting from these people. The Democrat Party Leadership has NO idea of the vein of rage they are tapping with this propaganda action against the Marines.

We will if Iran agrees to the conditions. The condition is they must verifiably suspend uranium enrichment.

Post 222 is a joint venture, in my mind. I saw a lot in your post 14 from the preview thread and wanted to add my two cents. I think you really caught on to something with your post and I think the examples I cited, particularly yesterday's Michelle Malkin post, are confirmation of the points you were making.
I hope it plays out according to my optimisic scenario.

Yours is the best breakdown of the military I've seen and I agree with your percentages. People forget, there are Democrats who are serving in the military.
The Clinton's may have ignored the military in many ways but they were active in putting like-minded generals in place who shared their worldview of how the military should be used, and to do their bidding when called upon.

#314, I did not know that, but it does not surprise me, Secretary RIce's talents are immeasurable.

It is an indication of past it the Junk Media is. They simply cannot respond that quickly to changing events. So the template is set early in the week. They simply are not fast enough on their feet to respond to changing events the way the New Media does. WE are inside their Decision Loop and it is hurting them badly. That why these shows and the Published Media are little more then a bad joke to most people any more.

one of my favorite preambles to a statement or question is "with all due respect." Far from it's original respectful meaning, it's now about as close to an outright insult as you'll hear most of the time in direct conversation. It just drips with "you don't deserve any respect, you clown, so here's my smackdown..."
