Ah, gee, warm fuzzy-wuzzy news. I feel, well, just so cuddled.
And the dumbing down of America continues.

People Magazine meets the evening news.
Forgive me if I never watch it. Again.

Translation of Couric's comments: "The news still isn't liberal enough. We need to stop pretending we're reporting facts at all and go with the 'All demagoguery, all the time' strategy from now on."

--- Asked by Stahl why many viewers may have lost their trust in the media, Couric said she thinks that the media are "held captive by spin," choosing to repeat "two separate spins" rather than search for the facts in a story. --- Bless her little lying liberal heart. BARF!

...bwhahahaha!!!. And still Coco Couric will be reading her *caring, compassionate person* words from a teleprompter. No, katy, we don't buy it.

Katie Couric hopes to bring a "humanistic, more accessible" approach to her job when she takes over as anchor...I'm a serious, caring, compassionate person. I hope that comes out... I absolutely believe that Couric will hold to this pledge to Oprah-ize the news so that liberalism, and its worship of emotions and feelings, will dominate. In contrast, anything conservative will be viewed as harsh, and evil, lacking compassion.
Mark my words. You watch. (I won't.)

The audience is more sophisticated than we give them credit for -- Patronizing with a dash of condescension thrown in for good measure ... typical Couric.

ROFL. Is there anyone more pretentious (and contentious) than this smug, arrogant, condescending stupid twit?
Please, save me.

So, Katie, Dan Rather was Ted Baxter?
Thinking about it, their voices were similar, but Rather was hard to take seriously.

"The audience is more sophisticated than we give them credit for -- they don't want a mechanical Ted Baxter," said Couric, Translation: "I'll produce higher quality fake documents so the pajama brigade won't be able to expose me as a fraud as easily as they did Rather."

Katie Couric hopes to bring a "humanistic, more accessible" approach to her job when she takes over as anchor and managing editor at "CBS Evening News" in September, she said Thursday.

"Anyone who watches 'Today' knows that I've done more hard-hitting interviews than any evening news anchor," she said. Having delusions of grandeur are we?
