You have probably heard by now that the doctor who examined the bodies of the civilians in Haditha after the alleged Marine rampage said they were shot in the chest and head and from close range.
You have probably also heard it reported that the death certificates of the deceased record that all the victims were shot. Here is an article which features the source for the quote and probably the author of the death certificates, from the terrorist supporters at Uruknet:
An image taken from footage shot on November 19, 2005 shows bodies in a morgue after an incident in Haditha.
Witnesses, video document massacre in Haditha US Marines killed Iraqi civilians in cold blood
20 May 2006
US Congressman John Murtha said on Wednesday that a Pentagon investigation into the deaths of civilians in Haditha, Iraq, last November will show that US Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Murtha (Democrat, Pennsylvania) was referring to a probe launched into a November 19 incident in which at least 23 civiliansincluding seven woman and three childrenwere gunned down by US troops. Haditha is a predominantly Sunni town 200 kilometers northwest of Baghdad in Anbar province...
Dr. Wahid, the director of the local Haditha hospital, said the Marines brought 24 bodies to his hospital around midnight November 19. He told Time the Marines claimed the victims had been killed by shrapnel, "But it was obvious to us that there were no organs slashed by shrapnel. The bullet wounds were very apparent. Most of the victims were shot in the chest and the headfrom close range."
This quote has now become an essential element in most of the articles on Haditha.
Being the highest ranking doctor on the scene, Wahid (Walid) is probably the person who filled out the death certificates, or he ordered them filled out.
What we haven't been told by our one party media is some of the background on the good doctor.
Again from Uruknet:
Iraqi Doctors Beaten and Arrested in Haditha Hospital
Sabah Ali, BRussells Tribunal
October 30, 2005
Dr. Walid Al-Obeidi, the director of Haditha General Hospital and Dr. Jamil Abdul Jabbar, the only surgeon in the Haditha area were arrested for a week, very badly beaten and threatened to face the same treatment in the future by the American troops.
Dr.Walid said "they arrested me in my house in front of my family, covered my eyes, and tied my hands to the back on Oct 5 2005 morning, during the last attack on Haditha (360 kilometers west of Baghdad). They occupied the hospital for 8 days and made it their office. The first day they beat me on my eyes, nose, back, hands, legs... My face was covered with blood .When they removed the tie I could not see. They investigated me until the afternoon. I realized later that I was arrested in the hospital store. Then they tied my hands to the front, and left me for two days. I was moved then to the pharmacy department. They accused me of treating terrorists, and asked for their names.
I told them that I treat patients regardless of their identity, according to my oath as a doctor; even if they were national guards (which we actually I did) or American soldiers. And any way, if I do not want to treat the insurgents, I have no choice, because they were armed and masked. I would do anything they tell to do. Few days later, one of the soldiers came in the room, did not say anything, kicked me again on my face and left" ...
Both doctors were threatened if they do not talk, they would receive the same treatment in the future. They were warned of passing any information of the arrest to the media. They were asked who wrote the hostile slogans against the American on the opposite wall of the hospital? What are the names of the insurgents they treated? and what are the bodies pictures in the hospital computer?
Dr.Walid said he does not know who wrote on the wall outside the hospital, what the names of the insurgents are, because they were masked. He explained that the dead bodies pictures were of unknown people whose bodies were found after the fighting. "We can not keep these bodies forever; we do not have enough cold boxes. So, after two months, we take their pictures and bury them, so that whenever some one from their families comes to ask we show the pictures of the dead bodies".
The UN, the international HR organizations, WHO, Doctors sans frontiers and all who it may concern are called upon to do some thing to help these, and other Iraqi doctors, and to prevent similar treatment in the future. Dr.Walid and Dr. Jamil believe that they may face the arrest and beating in the future. They demand that the American troops stop occupying the hospital and destroying it every time the attack Haditha. They also believe that the Iraqi authorities are incapable of protecting them.
Is it possible Dr. Walid (Wahid) has an anti-American prejudice?
It will be a hot time when they get back the results of the autopsies and they are made public. Cause of death, shrapnel, bullets, time of death, calibre of bullets or type of shrapnel and composition of any explosives on the bodies of the dead.
Drudge says tonite that they've put eight Marines in solitary confinement at Camp Pendleton for this. Why even have a trial, they've already been adjudged in the press and abandoned by the Bush Administration in an attempt to please critics who can never be satisfied.
Doesn't matter - To the MSM it could be true!
. . .from whom?
This sounds like 'propaganda'; just do not know whom it is serving. . .the anti-American U.N. and et als'. . .or just the 'enemy' at-large. . .
He was instrumental in Pantano's defense, if for no other reason than he never waiver in Pantano's innocence before proven guilt. Guilt was far from proven, in fact DNA proved he could not have been involved! I suspect these Haditah Marines will also be exhonerated though the democrats and media lickspittlists will have crucified them long before acquittal. Savage is consumed by hate for Bush. Savagae hates Arabs, Moslems in particular, as the Dubai Ports ravings proved. Savage, as a Jew, was insane with hate for Bush even considering the deal.

Haditha Reporter Was Jailed By US, Shares Name With Source
June 1st, 2006
Given the breathless coverage (actually only repetition of the same paltry facts) from our one party media about the civilian deaths in Haditha, I am surprised that we have heard nothing about the curious background of one of the first journalists to report the story, Ali Omar Abrahem al-Mashhadani, from the "restive town" of Ramadi.
It turns out Mr. al-Mashhadani might not have felt the kindliest intentions towards the US, having been imprisoned for five months mere weeks before his Haditha scoop.
Al-Mashhadani was detained because images found on his camera and because of his t"ies to the insurgents," according to US officials.
Indeed, al-Mashhadani has since been detained by the US again, for two weeks. In fact he was only released today.
Oh, man... you are so right.
While showing the wound on her leg, the reporter says, "she showed us the shrapnel wound she received that day which she shall never forget."
Bookmarked for later
Thanks. :-)
That is one of the toughest part of being in the military. There is no chance for bail if you are accused of something. I dearly hope that the charges are NOT true!
"Savage is Savage's favorite charity. Don't trust a man who screams the president has given these soldiers up based on what the President has actually said. Savage is not the sanest carrot in the talk radio bunch."
I think I'll trust him (savage) before I trust you.
I may not believe EVERYTHING he sais, but I can discern for myself what's right and what's not.
Yes he gets a bit out of line at times, but he's right on most things he talks about and does support those who are fighting and dying for us.
I've found from listening to him that people who hate him and say things like this, are usually Red Diaper Doper Babies. Or, they can't stand the truth.
U.S. Launches Another Major Assault in Western Iraq
By Jackie Spinner
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, October 4, 2005; 11:03 AMBAGHDAD, Oct. 4 The U.S. military Tuesday launched a second major assault in less than a week on cities in western Iraq in a hunt for foreign fighters whose attacks have increased in the weeks leading up to the Oct. 15 national referendum on a new Iraqi constitution.
About 2,500 U.S. troops and hundreds of Iraqi soldiers took part in the operation, codenamed River Gate, the military said in statements. The offensive centered on Haditha, Haqlaniyah and Barwana, Sunni cities located in the Euphrates River valley in western Anbar province. Meanwhile, Operation Iron Fist, another assault launched four days ago in the Qaimregion of Anbar province near the Iraqi-Syrian border continued, as troops searched for fighters connected to al Qaeda in Iraq who freely roamed the streets of Sadah and surrounding towns
Mohammed Hadithi, the head of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society in Haditha, charged the U.S. troops violated the rights of residents during the assault. The Marines neglected the humanitarian standards, he said. If the American people come and see the army they are proud of doing that to unarmed women and children, they would have disowned the army because those they are looking for have escaped hours before they came and attacked.
His accusation could not independently verified.
At Haditha Hospital, Dr. Abdul Qaider Obaidi, said the Marines also broke into the hospital and searched the facility, arresting the director, Waleed Hadeethi and his assistant. Obaidi said the Marines accused the two men of treating al Qaeda fighters. They are using the hospital as a base for the combat operations, he added. Obaidi said he had no information about civilian casualties.
The American military said militants attacked the Haditha Hospital earlier this year with a suicide car bomb. More than half of the hospital was destroyed in the attack. Insurgents established fortified firing positions in the hospital and used patients and staff as human shields, the military said in a statement. They attacked Marines from the hospital and later retreated from the Marine counterattack, according to the statement
This is the same guy. The reporter (Spinner) clearly mixed up the names. The doctors should be Waleed Obaidi, which is one of the many ways our hero spells his name.
Let's just say this. When Murtha went on one of his rants about this, he mentioned a woman with a child during this incident being gunned down "in cold blood as they pleaded for their lives." That is what I like to call a Muslim lie. Since it is permissible to lie to the infidels, the Muslim not only lies, but lies spectacularly. In their hearts, most Muslims who hear it don't really evaluate its veracity. If pressed, they probably don't believe it, but it's just all part of the mix for them. I have been suspicious of this thing from the beginning. I worry that we've been depending too much on testimony from Iraqis.
Very true about Muslims and lies to infidels. And Murtha was very happy to lap it up. The George Galloway of the States!
Well .. I'm still not buying it!
There are plenty of "insurgents" within Iraq who would love to embarrass us and cause another uprising of "bring the troops home now" mantra.
The actions by those who "witnessed" the incident .. wreaks of paid informant. And .. I suppose by now all the bodies have been cremated in order to COVER the evidence that the people WERE NOT SHOT by our military weapons - but might have been shot by Iraqi weapons..?? Hmmmmm ..??
And .. how do we know that the room was not full of insurgents .. holding these people hostage and just waiting in ambush for our soldiers to come by and start returning fire, and the insurgents attacked all the people in the house to make it LOOK LIKE our soldiers did it.
Can anybody answer these questions ..??
Sorry .. I'm still not buying it!
And the ones that don't have an agenda, like the little kids, have probably been threatened or had their remaining family threatened.

I heard and saw jorge just send those troops down river.
There are so many variations of name spellings, it's ridiculous, but it's the same guy.
Dr. Waleed/Walid Abdul Khaliq/Qaider al-Obeidi/Obaidi.
I believe the last name al-Obeidi means he's from the nearby town of Obeidi.
Haditha Hospital Director/"Chief"
Exactly. He is entertaining at times, but gets repetitive and boring. He is smart, but writing 20 books on vitamins and nutrition does not make him the genius he thinks he is.
