this is awful what they are doing to the Marines and this poor sole who has passed. 7 military people now are in teh fight for there life. Why should they be there I guess it is okay for them to take a bullet but not them to fight back. I thought in America you were innocent until proven guilty however it seems you are guilty until proven innocent. This is awful

I understand how you feel about this scumbag Murtha, and if I saw him running down the street on fire, I wouldn't p*ss on him to put him out.
Having said that, while it may be great fun to make some jokes about Murtha and farm animals, that sort of smear is (I think) beneath us as Freepers. Sure, I despise Murtha, I think he is a traitor who makes Benedict Arnold look halfway honorable, but when we seek to attack someone like Murtha, it should be done with weapons that have credibility, or would be deemed credible by most reasonable people. For example, regarding another traitor (John F'in Kerry), I have maintained that he was dishonorably discharged due to his violations of U.S. law in engaging in negotiations with the Commies in Paris while we were at war with them in Vietnam, in addition to his other seditionous activities while still a U.S. Naval Officer. I have stated that Kerry's discharge was upgraded to honorable during the Carter Administration. Now I do not have solid, in-my-hands evidence of that, however my understanding of his actions, of U.S. law, of his refusal to release ALL of his records now, lend credence to that theory which I promote on a fairly regular basis. It is plausible, even in the absence of incontrovertible evidence.
On the other hand, if I were to just accuse Kerry of bestiality with various farm animals, that accusation is without foundation (to the best of my knowledge) and I could not make that charge in good conscience.
So it is with Murtha. Murtha is a lying, treasonous scumbag, if the sumb!tch were found run down by a bus or a truck somewhere, I would not shed one damn tear for him. But let's be straight with each other, Murtha is most likely NOT someone who engages in bestiality, as inviting as it is to smear him with that sort of accusation. That tactic is something that the DUmmies would embrace, but I think you (and most Freepers) are better than that.
We've got plenty of more legit ammo to use on Murtha, his blatant corruption regarding military contractors comes to mind first. Personally, I think Murtha's sudden interest in alleged "atrocities" by U.S. troops is based more upon trying to build up his own immunity to the eventual indictment and prosecution that may very well be just down the road for Congressman Scumbag. If he is indicted, he will scream that he is being persecuted for daring to "tell the truth" (or dare I use that tired-ass cliche' "speaking truth to power"? - GAWD how I despise that absurd saying!), and like all Democrats, Murtha knows that even if he has no defense whatsoever, if he blows enough smoke, he might at least be able to secure a hung jury, which is good enough for an acquital.
In any event, I wanted to toss this out there, and I hope it is taken in the spirit it is meant.

Air force NCO Academy Graduate Ribbon/Air Force Basic Military Training Honor Graduate/Coast Guard Basic Training Honor Graduate Ribbon. Eliminate. Replace with certificates. The 2nd and 3rd duplicate the American Spirit Honor Medal anyway.
You also find many mentions of the Medal of Honor and almost every mention also mentions American Spirit.
Could someone think the American Spirit Honor Medal holds comparable prestige as the Medal of Honor?

I was a driver for a couple months ,in Germany,for S-2, and drove the staff around.I never got the sense that any of them we're combat soldiers.

I think Murtha was a glorified clerk and got his awards the same way the company clerk of the Arty group I was attached to in Nam got his.Or Kerry.
