The BBC has uncovered new video evidence that US forces may have been responsible for the deliberate killing of 11 innocent Iraqi civilians.
The video appears to challenge the US military's account of events that took place in the town of Ishaqi in March.
The US said at the time four people died during a military operation, but Iraqi police claimed that US troops had deliberately shot the 11 people.
A spokesman for US forces in Iraq told the BBC an inquiry was under way.
The new evidence comes in the wake of the alleged massacre in Haditha, where US marines are suspected of massacring up to 24 Iraqi civilians in November 2005.

The video pictures obtained by the BBC appear to contradict the US account of the events in Ishaqi, about 100km (60 miles) north of Baghdad, on 15 March 2006.

The US authorities said they were involved in a firefight after a tip-off that an al-Qaeda supporter was visiting the house.
According to the Americans, the building collapsed under heavy fire killing four people - a suspect, two women and a child.
But a report filed by Iraqi police accused US troops of rounding up and deliberately shooting 11 people in the house, including five children and four women, before blowing up the building.
The video tape obtained by the BBC shows a number of dead adults and children at the site with what our world affairs editor John Simpson says were clearly gunshot wounds.
The pictures came from a hardline Sunni group opposed to coalition forces.
It has been cross-checked with other images taken at the time of events and is believed to be genuine, the BBC's Ian Pannell in Baghdad says.
Oh yes, we must trust anything that comes out of the muslim camp, since they would NEVER lie, while the US troops, Marines, in this case, are nothing more than bloodthirsty murderers, who like to eat muslim children.
Of course, we must trust anything that comes from the muslims over the US troops... Never mind that time that the Israeli spy drone filmed the muslim funeral "rehersal" where the "guest of honor" kept falling off the funeral pyre, and getting back up on it..." Or the so-called atrocities committed by the Israelis at Jenin, which has been proven as a bunch of lies. Or any of the hundreds of other times the muslims have been shown to be liars.
Yeah, we need to side with them, over our Marines. Hey, Murtha did it, so we should too!

I have an ugly suspicion that the dead are already buried as per muslime convention. Sure we could dig them back up, but I bet that would be opposed and may even cause a big backlash.
They were already taught the things that they're going to have refresher courses on. These things aren't anything new being added. At the same time they were taught to fight and win, they were taught this same stuff that is being ballyhooed now.
1) I don't trust the BBC with medical diagnoses.
2) This is a video showing alegedly shot civilians. The terrorists have guns, and have been killing civilians by the boat load. Conclusion, the terrorists killed them.
When they have video showing the faces of Marines that we can ID as they pull the trigger, let me know.
Problem: the first after-action report said that the decedents were all killed by shrapnel from the IED that opened the ambush.
I haven't seen anything yet that shows anybody DOING the shooting!
I was a cop before losing one of my two favorite lungs to a bullet. When a witness says "It was A," and the forensics comes back and says, "Not A at all, it was B," and A and B are extremely different, the witness gets promoted to "suspect."
I have to give the entire incident that the Marines killed innocent people a big "Bravo Sierra". There has been too much time for outsiders to role play in an attempt to discredit our US Marines. The current PC to give sensitivity training to those on the battlefield is crazy and only will increase the number of our troops getting killed. It is a F***ing war zone for crying out loud and people die. I have no sympathy for those that can evacuate the area and do not.
