A preliminary military inquiry found evidence that U.S. Marines killed two dozen Iraqi civilians in an unprovoked attack in November, contradicting the troops’ account, U.S. officials said on Wednesday.
President George W. Bush said he was troubled by news stories on the November 19 killings of men, women and children in the town of Haditha, and a general at the Pentagon said the incident could complicate the job for the 130,000 U.S. troops in Iraq.
“Allegations such as this, regardless of how they are borne out by the facts, can have an effect on the ability of U.S. forces to continue to operate,” Army Brig. Gen. Carter Ham, deputy director for regional operations for the military’s Joint Staff, told a Pentagon briefing.

Actually we bombed Haditha that very day using AV-8 Harriers.
We have the true believers from both sides of the isle.
Who knows where they'd want their kids - That is neither here nor there to me - The reality is this girl revels what the truth is during her open talk session with a human rights reporter (and CNN reporter). She clearly states they knew the IED was going to go off and even covered her ears in anticipation of it -
To which the reporter wonders aloud perhaps it was a premonition of sorts (if you can believe that??)...or just maybe she had more knowledge of the entire situation -
You ask when are 10 year old girls in on attack plans? Likely when the detonator of this LOS IED is setting it off from her own house? (is one good theory)...or when members of her house helped plant on the street of her house? - Or if insurgents with whom her family supported made them aware of such IED being planted. Clearly plenty of ways for bad guys to know and for children of such houses to become aware as well.

If they are innocent of the allegations (and I pray they are because NO Marine that I ever knew would do these things), then the enemy has become sophisticated enough to manipulate the War Effort in this country by using "staged events" and propaganda that plays to the anti_American left and MSM. That could be construed as being "deeply troubling" bigtime.
That is exactly how I (and one employee that was listening along) took it.

Laura is believed by many, many conservatives to be the Lib agitator (in her nice way, I'm sure) in this administration. The soft one who whispers in his ear to take a softer line on many issues, especially those dear to conservatives.
To say that she wishes the administration were more in tune with its base, and therefore is upset with the President and showing it behind the scenes (convenient place, as none of us are there) is just about the most unlikely scenario I can conceive of.
Then there's their personal relationship which goes way beyond politics. What is there to suggest she or he have soured on the other? Your post implies you "know" something bad about it. Tabloids?? If not, then ???

It doesn't matter what position Karl Rove is in right now. The damage was done before he left. Look at the approval ratings. They are Rove's fault. My problem is with Rove, not with Laura Bush.

Haditha is an insurgent controlled town. They could just as well as the Marines have shot these people or at least have caused the victems to be killed. I smell a setup.
