A preliminary military inquiry found evidence that U.S. Marines killed two dozen Iraqi civilians in an unprovoked attack in November, contradicting the troops account, U.S. officials said on Wednesday.
President George W. Bush said he was troubled by news stories on the November 19 killings of men, women and children in the town of Haditha, and a general at the Pentagon said the incident could complicate the job for the 130,000 U.S. troops in Iraq.
Allegations such as this, regardless of how they are borne out by the facts, can have an effect on the ability of U.S. forces to continue to operate, Army Brig. Gen. Carter Ham, deputy director for regional operations for the militarys Joint Staff, told a Pentagon briefing.

Treason, subversion and sedition, alive and well in the MSM.
Mr. President. Don't be troubled NOW. Be troubled if they are tried and convicted.

This isn't what we're hearing from the attorneys representing the troops involved. I suspect the probe they're talking about is a phone call to Murtha.

We shouldn't. They will get their day in court. But it doesn't look too good for them at the moment.

A preliminary military inquiry found evidence that U.S. Marines killed two dozen Iraqi civilians in an unprovoked attack in November Preliminary?? Is this an official release through the Pentagon or more BS?
Your source is kerrfoxlive.com
Hmmmmm...

Let's see, "unnamed" and "anonymous" defense officials leak the results of a classified investigation to the reporter? So far that's all we have, plus murtha and kline.
The only Marine officer I have heard go on the record has said that the exculpatory evidence favoring the Marines has not come out yet.

"Unprovoked"
This "story" headline is false on its face.
The initial event was an IED. That's a provocation, even
if the response turns out to have been disproportionate,
or even unlawful.
Reuters is trying to see just how much they can get
away with.

Forensic data from corpses showed victims with bullet wounds, despite earlier statements by Marines that civilians were killed by a roadside bomb that also claimed the life of a Marine from El Paso, Texas, Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas, a defense official said. The forensics painted a different story than what the Marines had said, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.
The official said there were wounds that would not have been caused by an improvised explosive device. Did someone shoot somebody just for the sake of taking him out? the official said. Bad things happened that day, and it appears Marines lied about it.
Innocent men have no reason to lie, about anything.

Well, I think I'll just wait a while longer before I convict these guys. They deserve the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. I'm not so compassionate toward dim politicians and the MSM, however.

This is more BS from Reuters, there is nothing new in the story, and is nothing but speculation relying on the usual "anonymous sources". It's on Reuters main page, but after reading it you will understand it's more crap piling on without anything to back it up at this point.

And which "U.S. officials" would those be,
Reuters?
Another blast from the drive-by media. No evidence, no trial, just convict them in the court of public opinion because they're American Marines.
