On a mild and clear night in September, their bodies covered only in blankets, Judith Howard and April Sellers climbed out of their upstairs window onto the roof of their home in St. Paul's Merriam Park.
About 40 people watched from the backyard lawn, nearly all of them fellow artists dancers, actors, singers and poets. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of wine, a lot of flirty energy. Many had been here before, for one or both of the women's previous performance parties, and some were still talking about what they did with strawberries.
So nobody flinched on this night, when the women shed their blankets and, to the screechy, plaintive bowings of a violinist perched on the lip of the window, began dancing in the buff. Their springy, synchronized leaps and abstract modernist gestures, made more precarious by the roof's pitch and elevation, came to a close when the women held apples aloft and bit into them.

someone should call OSHA for them not having proper safety harnesses while on the roof "working". We'll end up paying for these moonbats hospital bill when their drunk asses fall off their roof.

If they were REAL artists, they would do this on Saturday nights in Summer, when all the people flock to Porky's to see the classic bodies...Cars that is.
That way you can maximize your...*ahem* exposure, and many more people can see your...ah...art.
The fact they do this and get a writeup, I lable them attenion wh...
But where are my manners? I lable them Attention Trollops.

when I used to roof houses in the cities, you'd get stopped by OSHA for not wearing harnesses.Maybe had we been nude we could have called roofing "art" protected by the 1st Amendment.

I can't think of too many things less useful than a "poet".
I think most of those who call themselves that are just trying to avoid working for a living.

Merriam Park?
Ah yes, a refuge of Univ of Minnesota professors and other upper-income guilty white liberals.
An enclave of those who feel intellectually superior to the rest of St Paul and in fact, the Twin Cities.
I could picture the same thing happening in the Linden Hills area of Minneapolis too.

If they were REAL artists, they would do this on Saturday nights in Summer,No, no, no. REAL artists would dance barefoot & nekkid Wednesday nights on ice covered-Minnesota roofs in the middle of January when it's -40 and in a 45 mph wind. ;)

It's interesting that TS Eliot, who was actually a poet, referred to himself as a banker who wrote "verse" not "poetry."
