Al Gore has made his sharpest attack yet on the George Bush presidency, describing the current US administration as "a renegade band of rightwing extremists".
In an interview with the Guardian today, the former vice-president calls himself a "recovering politician", but launches into the political fray more explicitly than he has previously done during his high-profile campaigning on the threat of global warming.
Denying that his politics have shifted to the left since he lost the court battle for the 2000 election, Mr Gore says: "If you have a renegade band of rightwing extremists who get hold of power, the whole thing goes to the right."

Yeah, we need him to keep shooting off his mouth with crazy outbursts and outlandish accusations. He WILL be a candidate for Prez in '08. If he beats out Hillary for the nomination, all that he has said and done in the last 8 years will be used against him by the GOP.

You'll note that Gore has the biggest head!
This country has gone to the right? On immigration? On spending? On private property rights? On the battle against secularists? Gore is certifiably insane. And he is getting as big as Michael Moore.
It will be fun to watch Hitlery and Gore go at each others throat. Al may end up having a terrible accident, like a plane crash or suicide.

Perhaps so, but going back to 92 and before, when he was still in the Senate, his American Conservative Union voting record was pretty abyssymal, from our perspective. We're talking not that far from Teddy Kennedy, from a voting record standpoint. You can find many other Dem Senators from that era, with much better voting records.
