An ex-Marine pulled out a pocket knife after five people, including a young girl, allegedly tried to rob him late Monday evening in Midtown. That girl died.
Another one of the alleged assailants is in critical condition.
Investigators are calling the case one of self-defense. They say no charges will be filed against the victim in the case.

That may just be the way the data got into the reporters's hands, with no age given, but I also envisioned the same as you. We'll see what comes out.

Nah, Frank would have had his twin 1911s with him. Of course for five punks, why go through the trouble of having to clean them when he got home.

"That's all I had -- didn't have an age when I wrote the piece; hopefully when I update the story at noon, I'll have better info."Don't sweat it oo much. There's only so much you can do when the information is so sketchy.
Regardless, you made my Monday!

Chuck Norris was in the Air Force, I think.
Besides, if it was Chuck Norris, his roundhouse kick would have sent the attackers into orbit.

Great story. The surviving attackers should be tried and executed. Then, the police need to start cleaning house in the Atlanta area. Time for a return of law and order.

Bet anything this man couldn't get a job with Atlanta police if he wanted one. Too efficient and dedicated.

Incorrect. Murtha, Dellums, Garwood, Lonetree, Dennehy, Oswald, Glenn, Massey, et al, are ex-Marines.That's because they EX-communicated themselves. The temptations of power and acclaim, in whatever form, were too strong for them.

You can close with an assailant faster with a knife than they can bring a gun to bear. Plus they were surprised by an attack as opposed to a surrender.

The Marine is being held without bond for a hate crime. The article didn't say that. It said that it was being viewed as self-defense.

I love this. Five people armed with guns against one Marine armed with a pocket knife...no contest! Yeah, well that's what happens when these losers pick on people other than elderly, liberals, and moms with children. LOL
It'll be interesting to learn what happens to these punks. Prolly nothing but a slap on the wrist and pitty from some lib judge b/c a couple of them were injured and one killed. I wonder how "young" the girl was? They seem to try and paint a sympathetic pic. If she was 13, that's one thing and yes, tragic. But if she was 17+, hey, it's a tough world and when you go trying to forcefully/violently sponge off of others, then you have to realize that your life expectancy may not be in line with normal stats.
