Really, Peach, thank you. Murtha was positively salivating this morning.
Pantano absolutely bitch slaps Murtha with his letter.
Take care hope to catch you on the dose later. Always please to see that palm tree.
Can we paste in the letter here? I know a lot of Freepers do not subscribe to the Compost but I do and can paste it in.
Thank you.
You're welcome, freema.
From that link:
"Members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq need more than Mr. Murtha's pseudo-sympathy. They need leaders to stand with them even in the hardest of times. Let the courts decide if these Marines are guilty. They haven't even been charged with a crime yet, so it is premature to presume their guilt -- unless that presumption is tied to a political motive."
He nailed Murtha in that last sentence.
Thanks Tom Guy. Rush has grown more than other hosts over the past few years. He seesm to be doing more and better research these days into issues.
I think that the Washington Post only permits excerpts to do be posted here.
But if you click on the link, the entire letter is detailed and you don't need a subscription to read my link.
If I'm wrong, feel free to copy and paste the letter in its entirety here.
Bush knew!
He's someplace. Not sure where. He wrote a couple of books too if I'm not mistaken. He may be from the USSR but he got rich in America.
Just off the top of my head - the Constitution does provide immunity from arrest while en route to sessions of Congress, (That's what Paddy Kennedy was vabbling about when he was driving and crashing at 3 in the morning.
It would be interesting to look at the reasons this was thought important.
The whole donations thing confuses me completely. I assume the one good thing that did come out of it was the Swiftboat Vetrans as I would think they would be classed as a 527.
The amount of money to me involved in just a senate or congress campaign is unbelieveable compared to what is spent in Britain on the whole general election campaign.
After all there was a row over the PM wife hairdressing bill

Here are further examples of our election costs which compared to yours to me seem minimal

Is anyone watching Murtha? This is unF...g believable. I am so nauseous and enraged that he gets away with this!!
John Saunders on ESPN the Sports reporters lambasted the Women's Duke Lax for showing support for the men's team.
He lectured them about sexual assault saying he's a father of two daughters.
Maybe JS should tell his daughters not to grow up being escorts and sleeping with more than one man in the same night.
unbelievable.
He was calling NC State racist 6 weeks ago because they had yet to hire Sidney Lowe the head basketball coach and that State was racist since they had only one african american head coach.
I can't believe this....Murtha is just making up stuff..."iraqi's pleaded for their lives inEnglish"
Apparently, in the wilder early days of our republic, there was some skullduggery going on. Opponents would arrest and detain elected representative to prevent them from voting on various things. Hence, the protections.
