PRESIDENTIAL NEWS OF THE DAY: President and Mrs. Bush and their long-time friends, former Commerce Secretary Don Evans and his wife, are spending Memorial Day weekend together at Camp David. There is speculation in the media that the President may ask Mr. Evans to become the next Treasury Secretary.
Today, the President traveled to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, to give the commencement address to the Corps of Cadets.
SCHEDULE UPDATE: NOTE -- so far, new Press Secretary Tony Snow has not been annoucing the Week Ahead in his press briefings. Scott McClellan has stopped doing it regularly some time ago, and I can't help but wonder if it isn't due to security concerns.

Many times it's up to the skill of the photographers. This is a beautiful set of pics for sure.
What's not to love and what's not to hug about

Thanks for the info
He's the unwavering, protective presence who works diligently from the shadows. When he does talk about his accomplishments, it is to boost our spirits, not to grandstand himself.
I searched on her name at Yahoo News Photos and found this gem:
(Why it didn't come up earlier when I was searching on the President's name, only Yahoo knows.)
Oh my! That's a golden good one!
Thanks, snugs. I'll enjoy reading that thread. We don't have bank holidays here. How many do you have per year.
I sure do agree.
Indeed some of their search criteria is crazy I usually just use "Bush" you get a lot of dross but you normally do get all the photos as well.
Very true. In too many ways, he undersells himself, to his own detriment sometimes. But I'd rather have that than a self-promoting empty vessel like the man GWB succeeded in the presidency.
Beautiful photos today Wolfstar. Thanks for the thread!
This photo is truly awesome.

Totally nuts.
A bit of trivia about the service academies. It costs the government about $100,000 for their educations, four years worth. If a cadet fails to graduate, they have to pay the government back for the cost of their education. So if the goat had gotten kicked out in his junior year instead of going on to graduate, he would have owed a lot. They give them the opportunity to drop out at some point in their first year, because of the payback, if the cadet thinks they won't be able to make it. I know someone who graduated from Annapolis two years ago.
You're most welcome. :)
b. c. aint no man. he be a boy in man's clothin'!
All of those are Bank Holidays? Most interesting. One of these days I need to discuss this with you in more depth. I love learning about things like this.
