As Volker Beck, a Green member of Germany's national parliament, was giving a TV interview, about 20 nationalist youths surrounded him and punched him in his face, bloodying his nose.

It is the same way in China, Belarus, Vietnam, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela. The party elite does not tolerate homosexuality.
Only very recently (5-15 years ago) have the communist parties and the mainstream left taken up LBGT "Rights" as an issue

There are some things about Russia that I like and this is one of them.
Pardon my insensitivity here, but was I the only one to laugh when reading this? Only at face value purposes I might add.
