I have never posted a vanity before. I have tried to swallow the bitter pill. I am perplexed by the debate about general election choices. Time to get ACTIVE; BEYOND the General Elections. No choices between Dems and RINO's. Time to MARCH TO THE PRIMARIES.. march in numbers NEVER SEEN BEFORE.....
Here is my call.....
I am sick and tired of being called names. I am done having the people charged with the HONOR of representing MY voice in MY country SLIT my throat for their personal gain. Meanwhile they invade the money I earn to seek the American Dream. I am sick of them claiming I am a helpless victim in one breath, and slandering me as a racist and bigot in the next.
I am an AMERICAN! I LOVE my country. My brother has spent his entire adult life (almost 19 years) defending you, and me, and our children from the very evil these arrogant elitists embrace and protect.
I pledge allegience to the UNTITED STATES of AMERICA! Not to the the flag of the UN... not to Allah....not to Mexico...and certainly not to any Political Party.
I base my politics on my VALUES, not my values on Politics.
I have not, and will not sell out my children because people of another country refuse to fight for the future of THEIR children. Our ancestors gave their lives for our children, you have no right to take their inheritence.
Don't lie to me about a fence not solving the problem. You have NO interest in SOLVING the problem, because you see ME- the American- as the Problem.
Don't lie to me about your ideas not being AMNESTY. You claim this is a "pathway to citizenship." We ALREADY have a pathway to citizenship.
Your utter disregard for law abiding citizens who WORK to pay YOUR salary is BEYOND TOLERABLE.
You CANNOT hide anymore.
Your days are NUMBERED. We are coming for you. You will see a Revolution far bigger and far greater than tea bags in the ocean. You will find PINK SLIPS from the people you swore to represent. We will come for you. Not with guns, but with ballots. We will not march in the streets, we will MARCH TO THE VOTING BOOTHS.
You have failed us for over 30 years.
You have created LOOPHOLES for everyone not willing to SWEAT for the American Dream. You have bailed out high school drop-outs with a GED program. You have bailed out fathers with Welfare. You have bailed out our young women with murder called "reproductive rights." You have condemned the elderly and chronically ill with "Dignity in Death" as you convice them that quitting is dignified, instead of the FIGHT.
You have made victims of people who refuse to face consequences and demonized business owners and employees who WORK to achieve something. You have taxed people for DYING, robbing their heirs as they weep over coffins.
Worst of all, you have demonized those that FIGHT for our FREEDOM to Rule over our own destiny and government. You have besmirched the honor of those who sacrafice their lives for our right to be heard and counted. You have villified those that are willing to risk their future dreams to let hope shine in this world, as you cast dark shadows upon the earth and publicize in media the ways to defeat our very own soldiers and agents who protect us.
Then you unlock the doors to our life of Freedom to those that plot and plan an invasion, and plead for THEIR redemption? You shun our brave heroes and embrace our invaders?
We are coming for you. WE WILL NOT FORGET! We are coming for you.
I am your worst nightmare. I am not a racist, a terrorist, or a nativist.
I am an American, and I vote.
As I understand it, Fox quoted that 3% Mexican unemployment number yesterday, while in the US. I'd imagine somebody will find that interesting enough to delve into just how factual that number might be.
Impossible to know. The gov't keeps score.
Uh, those were "the early years" and... I think ... in my dreams. LOL.
Only if you add me to yours -g-
ROFL! Good answer.
Haven't had so much fun since ... oh, never mind.
"Impossible to know. The gov't keeps score."
True in any country. That claim will prove problematic, regardless. It undermines several key rationales for the flow of Mexican citizens into our country. Fox was a fool for coming here, now. If it plays well at home, it'll create problems here. If it plays well here, it'll create problems at home.
One problem. The vote is now electronic, with one counting house. Do you honestly think all this work and planning by the wreckers will be thrown out because they are going to honestly tally the votes as cast by the people?
My sense is that both sides are just trying to hold it together and praying that nobody gets hurt. If this thing devolves into the 21st century version of the Zoot Suit Riots, then we've got a problem.
Ooops best go do my daily yob man ;)
"If this thing devolves into the 21st century version of the Zoot Suit Riots, then we've got a problem."
I'll be surprised if we avoid that. Just the spirit of the times ... our world goes through periodic waves of paroxysm, and it honestly seems we're approaching the crest of one. And it's just so unnecessary. Prevention has only been impeded by sheer lack of will.
I'd genuinely like to believe that everyone will eventually come down...then set about figuring the problem out.
I'd add, that a lot of folks feel they're being hit on all sides. Price of gas. Fear of the housing bubble. Illegals threatening local wages. They're probably holding their breath hoping nobody runs over the family dog or tells them their kid is ugly.
So long as citizens of another country are allowed to stream into this country in large numbers, so long as they issue demands of rights and privileges that are the preserve of citizens, and so long as they make claims upon territory of this country, you're not going to see the rhetoric cool. Those demonstrations of May 1st couldn't have been more provocative of a backlash if they had been specifically designed for that outcome. Up to that point, I was uncomfortable with the idea, but was not strongly opposed. I've known Mexican families that came to NC since the 80s, and they're good people. Some sons of neighboring families have married their daughters. I certainly don't "hate" them, they're decent people. But, what I saw across the country on that day was an entirely different thing, from the humble, decent, hardworking and grateful people that I have known. What I saw certainly looked like a threat to me, and I'm far from alone in that impression.
I'm going to have to call it a night. This sure has been an unusual thread, entertaining and frustrating at the same time. Hopefully, it'll still be here during the day tomorrow, so I can check back.
Later!
