Malmø, Sweden. The police now publicly admit what many Scandinavians have known for a long time: They no longer control the situation in the nations's third largest city. It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants. Some of the Muslims have lived in the area of Rosengård, Malmø, for twenty years, and still don't know how to read or write Swedish. Ambulance personnel are attacked by stones or weapons, and refuse to help anybody in the area without police escort. The immigrants also spit at them when they come to help. Recently, an Albanian youth was stabbed by an Arab, and was left bleeding to death on the ground while the ambulance waited for the police to arrive. The police themselves hesitate to enter parts of their own city unless they have several patrols, and need to have guards to watch their cars, otherwise they will be vandalized. The number of people emigrating from the city of Malmø is reaching record levels. Swedes, who a couple of decades ago decided to open the doors to Muslim "refugees" and asylum seekers, are now turned into refugees in their own country and forced to flee their homes. ALL of the 600 windows at one of the schools in Malmø have been broken during the summer holiday. Window smashing alone costs the city millions every year. City buses have been forced to avoid the immigrant ghetto, as they are met with youths throwing rocks or bottles at them if they enter. Rapes in Sweden as a whole have increased by 17% just since the beginning of 2003, and have had a dramatic increase during the past decade. Actually, they're not. We have a very generous policy for ME immigrants. We cut back after 9/11, but now the Saudis and other ME folk have obviously worked their magic, and we are letting in lots of non-Christian ME people, either on temporary visas (which of course they will overstay) or on a family reunion basis. I'm not worried about Mexicans; I'm really worried about Muslims, but nobody seems to care about restricting their immigration to the US.
Plus, of course, Muslims come backed by Saudi money. I was in Houston last week and saw that the "Islamic Dawa [Conversion] Center" has bought an old courthouse downtown next to the new TX State Court.
Swedish politicians are considering taking radical action. They are thinking of convening a focus group.
I'm very interested in the source of this article. Our firewall blocks it. Can anyone tell me about the source? Is this a major publication or blog? My wife went to university in Sweden (Vaxjo) and despite our living in the UK, Texas, Wisconsin, and South Dakota, she still thinks that Sweden is idyllic. I've told her that they've been having trouble with immigration but that doesn't fit with her 80s/90s mindset. I'd like to share this with her.

Our immigration policy, as bad as it is, does tend to be employment and skills based. So the people coming here legally tend not to be the dregs of the earth. Even the illegals have to go through a fair amount- fly over to Mexico, hire a coyote, etc. Plus, those who just want to collect welfare would obviously try to emigrate to Europe, not here.
A lot of people in LA also can't read or write Spanish either...even though they speak it.

As much as I hate illegal immigration, most Mexican immigrants I see around my house break their back working. 60 percent of the Muslims in Sweden don't work at all. And the Mexicans don't see themselves as having some holy mission to destroy America. They are Christian for the most part.
So I see Europe's situation as being much worse, though I don't deny for a second that ours is bad.
The critical factor in what is happening in Sweden is their Socialism. They are fairly free trade with foreign nations. This gave them a huge bucket of funds, which they then doled out through social programs. Sweden, having been some 87% Lutheran, felt no small amount of ethnocentric guilt and removed many of their border controls and welcomed diversity.
Many Muslims, especially from Turkey, immigrated to Sweden so that they could receive the handouts while beginning the Balkanization of Sweden, as they have done in several other European nations.
Sound familiar? (Hint: Those currently debating one of the current "hot issues" in the US ought to learn from Sweden's mistake.)

I'm a Swedish livning in Stockholm. I am 40 years old. It's true the situation in Sweden is catastrophic. Twenty years ago, I was proud of my country. Today I'm very sad because of the situation. It's not safe to walk the streets at night in Stockholm anymore. Arab kids openly show disrespect of Swedes, robbing them of mobile phones just to show their power. Gang rapes of young, always Swedish girls, is nowadays in the news every week. What the media don't report, however, is that the rapists almost ALWAYS are of Arab origin. There is no such thing as gang-raping Swedish men, I promise you.
It all started in the 80's. Iranian and Iraqi, Turkish "refugees" started coming. I remember the first ones coming to Stockholm. Today it's their kids who are ruling the streets.
If you ever travel to Sweden, jump into a taxi at the airport and talk to the taxi driver. You will most likely have a taxidriver of arab/muslim origin, one of those "refugees" from Iraq. The thing is, they fled from Saddam Hussein. Your taxidriver will most likely call Bush "a devil". And he might even defend Bin Laden, Al Quaida and what they did 11th of September. The one I hitched a ride with a week after September 11th did. No sympathy for my friend also in the taxi who had two colleges killed in one of the planes that crashed. After your taxi trip, whatever you do, don't pay with your VISA...that's the feeling you have in Sweden today, of insecurity.
I think it's time for the 70 000 Iraqis in Sweden to go back home now and rebuild their country now when Saddam is gone. By the way, Saddam has asked for asylum in...SWEDEN of course!
The thing is, in Sweden, Swedes are oppressed (is that the rigth word?). There is a saying: Swedes don't need a dictatorship, we have the dictatorship within ourselves. Honestly Swedes have to come to grip of what is happening, and dare to talk about it. Are we silently going to let Sweden, the land of Vikings(?)(used to be...)get a Muslim majority? What good did Muslims bring to Sweden? Honour killings? Womens liberation/right to wear burkas?
I feel Swedes have themselves to blame. Swedes are innocent, naive, shy, introvert people. (But are they stupid too?) The muslim immigrants never understand or respect that, just take advantage of it.
In twenty years the population has grown from 8 to 9 million people. One million immigrants in 20 years! At least 450 000 of the immigrants are muslims.
But what can you do when your country is being taken over?

Watched an O'Reilly segment the other night where the presentero related studies/statistics showing that Mexicans of 2nd and 3rd gerneration are where the gangs start showing up. The first generation is basically ok, but their kids get into gangs, learn to hate America through the school system, refuse to assimilate - and we could be looking at some very bad consequences as well. So much for the "they have the same family values" sound bite we've been repeating.
Yes, the Swedes will (and I mean it).
They are too "pacified" by decades of socialism and multiculturalism to do otherwise.
They are, essentially, doomed. They simply don't have the "cultural wherewithal" to defend themselves any more. By "cultural wherewithal", I mean the internalized sense that their culture is superior to that of the Islamic invaders, and worth defending.
Norway is "fighting back" somewhat more, as is Denmark.
