Irey to Hold Veterans’ Press Conference in Washington D.C. in Response to Murtha’s Remarks
Monongahela, PA – Commissioner and Pennsylvania Congressional Candidate, Diana Irey, will be in Washington, D.C., tomorrow, May 24 for a press conference with veterans. She will travel by tour bus with veterans and supporters from Pennsylvania’s 12th district in order to respond to her opponent’s recent comments attacking U.S. Marines and harming troop morale in Iraq. Irey will stand with veterans and hold a press conference tomorrow, May 24, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., at the National Press Club. Diana will be available to the media for questions after the event.

I realize this is short notice, but I'm posting in support of Diana Irey sending Jack Murtha to an early retirement. She's a feisty one! :-)
I hope a lot of the folks close to downtown D.C. will consider giving up their lunch hour for this event. Other, please consider writing letters to the editor and/or sending a monetary donation to her campaign.

She's got to be really careful in what she says. Remember how vilified Congresswoman Jean Smith was when she made the comment, "Marines don't cut and run, cowards cut and run."
