Hillary vs. Al Gore: Who scares you more?
May 23, 2006

So the current buzz is stating that the Democrats are finally waking up to what we've known since 1993: Hillary is a disaster waiting to happen. And who are they increasingly looking to as their savior? Why, Al Gore of course!
This leads me to ask a simple question, just for fun: Which is the greater evil: Hillary or Al Gore? Which one would scare you more if they made it to the White House?

I think those two posts , #2 & #3, sum this up for me. I will now skim the rest of the thread.

What scares me more is McCain vs Hillary.

Hillary, cold and calculating is more dangerous then just being an outright loon.

When it's stupid vs. evil, stupid is less dangerous. The bst choice is "none of the above".

Hillary! could do real damage. Algore would become such a ridiculous figure he would be shunted to the side. America can little afford an ineffective President, but it would be better than one who is actively hostile.

The question is: Which one is more scary as president? The outcomes are not knowable, but I am more worried about Gore as president. Hillary would be more aggressive against Islamofascism. The other minor differences between the two liberals aren't worth worrying over compared to defense of the country, in my opinion.

I must respectfully disagree. Point by point:
He has much in financial resources. True, but Hillary! is a fundraising machine. AlBore may have Hollyweird behind him, but She has George Soros and his minions.
He would get the sympathy vote because he received a majority of the popular vote in 2000 but did not get the office.
Possible, but historically unlikely. IMHO, he is now perceived as a loser, which pretty much dooms his chances.
His new movie coming out will increase his popularity.
I believe it will show him for the complete and utter barking moonbat we know him to be. Railing about global warming has about as much traction as promising to raise taxes; Remember how well that worked for Fritz Mondale?
I truly believe that Al Gore could win this time.
It is far too early to rule anything out, but I do not believe he could.

Well said.

I wouldn't go with either of them. The one I'd be MOST opposed to would be Hillary, but Gore should not be underestimated either. No dems is right, he could get the sympathy vote because of the 2000 elections, and if elected, I wouldn't be surprised if some of his buddies at the Sierra Club persuaded him to grant pardons to some of the Earth First! ecoterrorists who are currently rotting in prison.
One's an eco- zealot, the other's a Socialist zealot.

I'm not scared of either of them. I'm scared of the 50% of America who would vote them into office given the chance.

I sometimes wonder if we'd be better off in the long-term had Gore won in 2000. His inevitably spineless response to 9/11 would've brought a Republican into the White House in 2004 with a clear mandate to go to the Middle East and clean their clocks. There'd be no parsing of words in the media and the support of a war would be damned near unanimous. Frankly, with the spineless response of the GOP to the border situation they deserve to be ousted from power to make way for a new team of real conservatives in 2008. And I'm still thinking we need a Free Republican party!Oh where to begin? Your post has to be nominated for the dumbest post of the day.
