"We're not forgiving anybody for breaking our laws," he said. "We're making them pay a very high price."

Yeah, U.S. citizenship sure is a terrible punishment...

The human reptile walks and talks in NH. He can't go potty without his friends at the Asspress writing a story about how successful the stream was.

This guy is almost as pompous and narcissistic as Biden. The biggest thing that GOP voters are upset about is the slimy actions of RINOs like John McCain.

Congress needs to repeal McCain-Feingold. It violates the First Amendment. McCain is a Democrat.

If they go through with this every American citizen should get a free pass to commit at least 3 felonies without being charged.

Okay, I read it, where does McCain rally anyone?

If McCain wants to rally the faithful make this pledge.

If you elect Goldwater as your Arizona Govenor in the fall, I pledge to step down from the U.S. Senate and strongly urge J.D. Hayworth fill my seat.

Those who pass a criminal background check, learn English, pay back taxes and a fine, should be permitted to earn their citizenship, he said. "We're not forgiving anybody for breaking our laws," he said. "We're making them pay a very high price."

The internal contradiction of that statement is mind-blowing. Senator, no matter how much lipstick you put on this pig it still spells A-M-N-E-S-T-Y.

Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.

Well I guess I will just have to say traitor John under no circumstance will get my vote.

I believe his idiocy exposed by this Shamnesty bill will sink him in the liberal sewer he has chosen over the conservative base.

"Spending is out of control and a significant part of our Republican base is angry because we have allowed this to happen," he said.

Allowed? Senator McCain, when someone is run over by a car, the phrase "allowed to happen" applies to bystanders who didn't pull the victim out of the way. It doesn't apply to one of the drivers in the car.

"We're not forgiving anybody for breaking our laws," he said. "We're making them pay a very high price."

It is a small price compared to the fees and legal expenses a typical legal immigrant incurs trying to get citizenship.

Liar.

Egregious, shameless, serial and not-even-proficient liar.

Those are exactly and precisely the same requirements of *anyone* wanting U.S. citizenship: an English test, a background check, produce three years of tax returns, and pay many, many $$ in application fees.

These pols are depending upon the naivete of the American public about their own immigration and naturalization laws to make it seem as if these are extraordinary and "penalizing" requirements.

They speak of English, criminal check, taxes, and fees as if it's some kind of new penalty applied exclusively to illegal alien lawbreakers, and a sufficient penalty to remove their plan from the realm of "amnesty".

In fact these requirements are the same requirements applied to anyone wanting residency or naturalization. They have been so for at least 10 years, and maybe more.

Unbelievable. The pols have been singing this for weeks now, I've yet to hear anyone call them on it.

This is not a "penalty"! It is the standard, run of the mill, day to day and normal paperwork submitted by ALL residency and naturalization applicants.

McCain thinks the American public is ignorant, and it is!

I'm looking for the candidate that can do the following:

(1) Take the war to the enemy.

(2) Secure the border. I'm not interested in immigration control; secure the border, enforce current law (what a concept) and the current laws will take care of it. Fail to secure the border, and the whole thing is a shell game, and I'm not interested in playing.

(3) Guide the country back toward constitutional government.

I don't see any perfect candidates out there, but its early yet. What is plain is that I will never vote for McCain. His election finance "reform" was an attack on the first ammendment. His betrayal of the Swift Vets was unforgiveable, and I haven't forgiven it.

There are big issues at stake in this and every election, but McCain always seems to think its about him. He's always angling for position when what we needed was someone who would take a stand on principle.
