Not only an *amnesty* for these lawbreakers, but also a REWARD (ss benefits).
Many on FR think that the illegal immigration debate has weakened the Republican Party. I believe it has strengthened it. If for no other reason, the Senate Republicans are being forced to vote and put themselves on the record. Now we truly know who are friends within the party are and who we should be working against when they come up for election.
My only hope is that we don't punish those who are working for us, the House Republicans and Senators like Ensign and Sessions by staying at home on election day. I know that I will vote for a conservative whenever I can.

The Senior Lobby groups like AARP are probably in a quandary. Usually they're all ultra-left-wing groups, so how are the rank and file going to react when Illegal Pedro is getting fradulently obtained Social Security and Grandpa Joe basically gets the same amount? I think this is going to wreck the Democrats a lot more than the Republicans.
Hmm....Sounds like some illegal can claim they were fraudulently using my Social Security number and get a chunk of my SS benefits. Of course, one thinks they would have to prove it, but "rules" are so elastic and arbitrary these days who knows.
