Plenty of clowns left in Wash. DC, however

It's Howdy Doody time!

And Buffalo Bob was a church organist.

Never been much of a fan of clowns (probaly Stephen King's fault), but still a sincere RIP to another lost WW2 veteran.

TV and the fifties. What a great era for a new medium.
My Ode to Clarabelle:
A little silent clowning.
A little dance.
A little bit of seltzer water down Buffalo Bobs pants.
( insert Clarabelle horn honk here)
RIP Clarabelle!

Clarabell was a mean, nasty SOB.

I hate clowns. All clowns must die. Clowns are evil.

Trivia from the article...
There were three actors who played Clarabell:
1. Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo)
2. Bobby Nicholson (later played Doodyville's J. Cornelius Cobb)
3. Lew Anderson ("Goodbye, kids")

RIP

I loved the Howdy Doody show, although I never really cared for Clarabell. (But, then I have never liked any clowns.) To tell you the truth, I thought Clarabell was a girl. I guess it was the name. Didn't see the closing episode of the show, as I would have outgown it by 1960. (Yeah, I'm older than dirt.)

Clowns are creepy. Most of them are pedophiles.

Except that he got to squirt people with that seltzer bottle, which was way cool. I kept asking Santa to bring me a seltzer bottle for Christmas 'cause I knew exactly who I was going to squirt, but it just never happened.

Wow...I had almost forgotten. When I was 9 or 10, I had such a crush on her....she was definitely a babe.
