I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.

With all due respect, I agree with him. I've lived in both Chicago and Denver, and have visited Mexico. I taught ESL to people trying to get their citizenship. There are exceptions, of course, but many illegal immigrants come up to join family members. Many of them deeply admire the U.S. and want to be a part of it, legally.

That line shows that he is playing us. If he really intended to actually secure the border then he wouldn't mind letting the enforcement get in place first.
By tying them together, he can get the guest worker program and then just keep saying that he is trying to secure the border and to just give him more time.
