BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America ! |

Hey you, be good! ;)
It's impossible for me to agree with Bush on immigration. Even back in 2002 he was pushing 245(i) amnesty, which was a lot smaller than this monster. The good news is that was stopped in the House, mostly by Semsenbrenner so hopefully they can do it again.
They would still need training to do that. There is no way, not even if Genghis Khan was President, that the ROEs would allow returing fire except under the most dire circumstances. Yes, they would be required to take some fire without returning fire, as is the case in other circumstances.
That's good. He doesn't deserve much. He's not getting much on this thread either.
It's a given that Ted Kennedy and the democrats are sellouts, although this time even they've outdone themselves. It's up to the House to stop them and I sure hope they do.
Thanks for the PING...
I watched and listened to President G.W. Bush's speech. Also read the transcript and the AP analysis. I'm not going to comment up or down yet. I'm going to read it again a few times, and give it a few days to sink in, then see what the polls say! I'm sure there are lots of negative and positive thoughts running around on the threads though.
Hi SmartA, I'm laying low after last night, lol.
LOL, that's about what we've got!! Nice graphic Phil.
Bush never mentioned any sanctions or enforcement of current law against employers
Bush never explained what the fine would be for an illegal to buy citizenship.
Dana Rohrbacher is terribly disappointed.
National Guard troops have been to the border before
**armed**
Did Rohrbacher say anything about amnesty's chances in the House?
Jim S has worked for his money, he helped with Bubba too, he is an honorable guy!
nope heard this one on another forum
Did you listen to the Latino radio response?
