BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America ! |
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

I've caught his late night showing more than a few times. I'm more a night owl in the winter when the sun isn't up until 8 a.m. and I can sleep in later, but when the sun is shining in at 5 a.m. it changes the summer schedule..
"troops would be excluded from "search, seizure, arrest or similar activity."
So... I guess they will relieve BP from other more mundane tasks.. window dressing.
It's a slap in the face and an insult to our intelligence, worse the borders are still not secure.
Do you think it's working? I certainly don't.
Of course it's not working.
Our borders are still unsecure. The National Guard has not yet been deployed. Our benevolent "Bloviating Fiddlers" will be be taking off again next week, for another hard earned break or vacation. Meanwhile, like the last spring break, a continuation of 3000 illegals daily enter our borders. The only one that is really serious, is El Presidente Vincente Fox. How many terrorists do you think tagged along?
Re: my 2444, I forgot to add, It's also a big waste to taxpayer money.
"Some in the House have said they will vote against even having a Conference - Compromise Committee. No discussion - no meeting between the House and Senate.
Others in the House said that there is no room for compromise of any kind - and will not back down.
Either way - if successful - such a move would just allow the Senate bill to die on the vine over the Summer Recess."
I had heard a while back that some in the House might be willing to compromise with the Senate. What I had heard was that the House would accept a secured border and guest worker program, but no citizenship. The illegals don't want citizenship as far as I'm concerned. But this just popped up.....(sorry if duplicate)
Tancredo Expresses Disappointment at Pences Immigration U-Turn(Tancredo has lost it)

WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Chairman of the 97-member House Immigration Reform Caucus, expressed disappointment at Rep. Mike Pences policy shift on immigration reform. At a Heritage Foundation speech this afternoon, Pence presented what he called a rational middle ground
between amnesty and mass deportation that turns its back on a enforcement-first strategy, grants rogue employers amnesty, and would in effect reward illegal aliens for breaking the law.
Mike Pence is making the same mistakes that the President has, using the straw man of mass deportations and redefining amnesty to suit his interests. Unfortunately, like the President, Pence is breaking from House conservatives who remain steadfast in their support of a security-first approach to immigration, said Tancredo. "

I read that and the tag line they hung on the original post. What do you make of it?
"AURORA, Ill. -- Fourteen illegal immigrants who were members of a street gang were arrested Monday night in Aurora, according to police.
Authorities said the suspects were all Mexican citizens, who now face deportation."

No surprises here.
I believe they understand now they will need another dipper full of lipstick for that "comprehensive immigration reform" pig.
And please, lets remember this is not amnesty...
Thank you, my FRiends.
This favoritism was uppermost in my mind this morning, as I was mulling over the topic.
Of course, anyone who read what I wrote and is familiar with the issue would realize that the illegals who sneak across the border from Mexico would INCLUDE Central Americans... but the majority are undeniably Mexican, and they all head to the same support network that is in place for them in this country.
Sessions is the best Senator considering all issues including this one. The MMP think highly of Mr. Lott on this issue; and Mr. Coburn has commended himself well on almost all issues. That's about it for the Senate.
Otherwise, they are in a profound disconnect from the American people.
Especially since McPain has been such a good amigo!!
Ya think Prop 200 caused some "hurt feelings?" BTW, what has happened to that; isn't it law by now?
Did you catch post #2412? The answer to your question....
