Bush set for immigration speech
WRIC News ^ | 5-14-06 | AP

BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH

WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on
immigration tomorrow night.

Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's
"passion" on immigration.

He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy.

Stand Up For America !

"We have room for but one flag, the American flag...
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...
And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Well it's coming to that I'm afraid. We'll see what the House does, if they even consider amnesty they are through politically.

How to Deport 10 Million Illegal Aliens

http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=14953

Illegal aliens arrested for entering Fort Belvoir VA

Three illegal aliens, who stowed into Fort Belvoir in the back of a rental truck, were arrested and turned over to federal immigration authorities May 8. According to post officials, this is the fourth time this year undocumented workers have been caught on post.

Military police apprehended the men near Fort Belvoir's John J. Kingman gate.

_____________________________________________________

U.S. policy toward illegal aliens is insanity

We oppose any amnesty for illegal aliens. We were appalled at the May 1 demonstrations. Only American citizens are granted the right of protest and assembly.

Why weren't the illegals who showed up at the rallies arrested? What kind of cowards have our leaders become?

L.A. Organizers Denounce Black Minuteman

http://news.ncmonline.com/news/view_article.html?article_id=2f034b839043d5f5b52840e2659dd1c4

http://www.la.indymedia.org/news/2006/05/156424.php
_________________________________________________

Here's their announced plan:
Gathering/pep at 11am Sunday, May 21st (corner of Olympic & Broadway)
-March begins sharply at noon!
-March from noon until 2pm from corner of Olympic/Broadway to City Hall
-2pm at City Hall - speakers/rally

This is highly irresponsible for the LAPD to allow racist
anti-immigrant group to march at the heart of the Latino shopping district at
Broadway, and allow them to rally at LA City Hall.

Minutemen want to provoke confrontation with the activists and Latino
immigrants for the publicity stunt purpose, and to help the right wing
Republican anti-immigrant forces "excuses" for passing more
anti-immigrant legislation and organize massive immigrant crackdown!

If we allows this to happen, it will be the slap to the LA immigrant
rights movement! Because just 3 months ago the City Hall passed the
resolution to prohibit Minutemen activity at the City of LA

http://la.indymedia.org/news/2006/02/146318.php

NOTE: Ted Hayes/Minutemen alliance want to challenge the LA City
resolution, and to exploit the misconceptions amount African American about the
undocumented immigrants to create black-brown tensions and even the
black-brown violence in the City.

Your LA City Council members (for the lists of LA City Council
members, please visit: http://www.lacity.org/council.htm

Their plan:

Because allowing them to march in downtown LA will giving them a bad
signal of LA is allowing racist anti-immigrant groups and their
activities, this is the direct violations of the City resolution.

2) Mobilize Activist/Community to Turn the Back on Racist Minutemen
on 5/21!

We encourage the community activists NOT to organize massive
counter-protest along Broadway to confront with them, since Sunday noon at
Broadway will be very crowded with president and shoppers and will be very
difficult to control the situation.

Therefore, we suggests activist from multi-ethnic background, if they
choose to converge to downtown LA at May 21st for counter-protest,
instead of face-to-face protest against them, from the safe distance we turn
our backs on them when they march passing-by us at the Broadway. We can
have sign and banners but should be keep a safe distance from them.

We'll not engage in any verbal argument/communication with them (just
assume they are not exist).

We should organize activists to inform the shop owners and merchants
along the Broadway Blvd/ about the Minutemen rally on May 21, and
suggest when they passing just ignore them and turn their music speakers to
the maximum level (to cover their noise).

By doing so, we can show our message powerful, clear and loud:
Minutemen are Not Welcome in LA!

San Bernardino City Council Turns Down Racist Petition

In a too-close vote, the San Bernardino City Council voted against the Illegal Immigration Relief Act Ordinance, and turned it over to the voters.

Chants of ¡Trabajo, sí! Migra, no! resounding on the plaza outside were too distant to be heard inside the council room. Instead, a MALDEF representative promised the council a court challenge before the motion went before the voters. Armando Navarro, representing the National
Alliance of Human Rights, promised, “We have raised thousands, and we will do it again.” Another speaker charged that the petition would bring on “balkanization” and “genocide.”

Council discussion was both relatively brief and surprisingly acrimonious. McGinnis said that “it is unfortunate that our city is the catalyst for what should be a federal issue.” Then he went after Joseph Turner, the instigator of the bill and head of Save Our State, an
anti-immigrant website. McGinnis continued, “Mr. Turner is a youngster, not old enough to put this forward. He (Turner) says he was educated in our schools; then our schools need help.” He went on to say Turner was arrogant, and “smiling for the cameras.” McGinnis turned to the question of his own ethnicity, which he identified as a “Heinz 57” mix of African, Swiss, and Blackfoot.

When word reached the protestors outside, a cheer went up from the crowd, along with chants of “¡No somos criminales!" State Representative Joe Baca assured the crowd of his support and promised a forum on July
1. Navarro addressed the crowd with the commitment of NAHR to fight with San Bernardinans.

What has our government done, signed or agreed to that makes Mexico thinks they can file suit on the US if a guard comes in contact with an illegal *** sneaking across the border? Our damn border that we are allowed to protect from invasion. This isn't just some BS that they have
dreamed up, something has been done or given to, for them to really think they can pull this off. Now if our government GAVE an illegal a man's ranch, in a suit. I don't care what kind of ranch they had or what took
place on that ranch, that #@$*&^# illegal had NO rights here in the US and he was here, and illegal on that ranch. Now these fools are telling us they will file .............. I really want to know what has
been pulled off, that we knew nothing about..........I think we need to be finding out what ALL has been giving away and changed without our knowledge................

Bush Predicts Election Victory for Republicans

President Bush is predicting victory for Republicans in November congressional elections based on a record of promoting freedom and opportunity at home and abroad. Mr. Bush addressed Republican Party organizers amid opinion surveys showing declining approval ratings for his presidency and the Republican-led Congress.

~SNIP

Wednesday, Colorado Republican Congressman Tom Tancredo had strong words for the president. "He [Bush] says, 'In order to secure the border, we have to have a guest worker program.' Well, that is purely and factually untrue, because there is no will to enforce the law. Mr. President, you show me you have the will to enforce the law, and then I will be willing to talk to you in a couple of years about some sort of guest worker idea," he said.

Another Republican congressman [Dana Rohrabacher of California] said, when it comes to immigration, the American people are, in his words, "being failed by their president."

The key to stop this Immigration sell out of our country is the House of Representatives. Every house member is up for re-election in November. We need to pressure our Rep. to not accept S.2611, if it is passed by the Senate.
~Joe Greene {My smart-smart friend}

I called Cornyn's offices a bit ago - finally got through - could only leave a message with the women answering the phone - called the Dallas office and the Washington office. It was apparent that the phones were ringing off the wall.

I told them in no uncertain terms that John Cornyn needs to STOP debating the fine points of this 'immigration' bill - that the entire bill was flawed and was injurious to Texas and the United States. That the entire 'Immigration' Bill needs to be scraped.

And that I could not understand who John Cornyn thinks his allegiance is to - WHO - certainly not Texas citizens - because I knew that Texas Republicans DID NOT APPROVE of this bill and would remember what John Cornyn did at his next election.

I said a whole lot more before I was cut off.

Morgan City Wash Illegal Immigration Area Cleanup Project

Saturday, May 20, 2006

8:00 AM until Sunset.

Location: Morgan City Wash (Highway 74, approximately 0.6 mi. West of milepost 18, approximately 1.5 miles West of Lake Pleasant) Minutemen will clean up a major lay-up area found just West of Lake Pleasant in Maricopa County, NW of Phoenix. This is described as one of the largest lay-ups seen to date. This is your invitation to come join
with Minutemen and other volunteer organizations that day in hopes to clean up our spectacular deserts. Your help is greatly appreciated.

This area has been devastated with garbage left from an illegal immigration, coyote smuggling operation. The land is U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) controlled, and the BLM is in full cooperation with this event. BLM has been able to clean up approximately 40% of the debris, and
is now depleted of funds to pay for workers to finish the area. Our event is planned to complete the cleanup. BLMt has agreed to supply the following for the cleanup:

contractor supplied dumpsters, garbage bags, porta potties, lunches, and workers comp coverage for all volunteers.

Many thanks to those who dedicated so much time and effort to our cause. We have been able to move this debate from the basement into the forefront of American politics in about a year. Now Illegal Immigration is the #1 topic on the minds of America. There is still so much work to be
done though. If our politicians follow suit, any legislation will not be approved until year end and will take several years to implement if at all. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Your country needs you! Volunteer for a

FLAG RALLY AT THE MT. SOLEDAD CROSS TO HONOR OUR VETERANS

Sunday, May 21, 2006, 10 to 11 a.m.

Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial, 6905 La Jolla Scenic Drive South La Jolla, California 92037

We want to keep the Cross in the public eye so San Diegans don’t forget that we still can appeal and perhaps follow some other avenues to save it. We want to honor our veterans who are the reason the Cross was created. It is more of a memorial than a religious icon. We can’t allow
something that is honoring our veterans to be destroyed.

We want to remind San Diegans that our veterans have not fought for our country to see President Bush give it away piece by piece in many different ways. It’s also demoralizing for our troops who are risking their lives for their country to know that our President won’t even protect our country with appropriate border security and by enforcing our present immigration laws. His guestworker/amnesty is a give away program for people who
disregarded our laws. Our soldiers are fighting for our sovereignty and the rule of law that protects it! Please attend, bring your flags, etc.

California Coalition for Immigration Reform (CCIR) Meeting
Garden Grove Women's Club,
9501 Chapman Avenue (at Gilbert)
Garden Grove, California 92841
Wednesday, May 24, 2006
7:30 P.M.

Speakers include:

* Jim Silva, California Assembly Candidate - 67th District. Former Huntington Beach Councilman and Mayor and currently an Orange County Supervisor, he helped restore funding and positions to the Orange County Veterans Service offices, helped lead the County out of a financial
bankruptcy crisis, saving the County $512 million by paying the debt in record time and without raising taxes. Most importantly, he vows that, if elected, he will stop CA spending $10 billion per year for benefits for
illegal aliens, he opposes drivers licenses, reduced tuition and social services for illegal aliens "who should be sent home and not given amnesty." He also supports training local police to enforce immigration laws.

* Joe Turner, Executive Director of Save Our State, will report on the Anti-Illegal Alien Petition that qualified for the ballot. Proponent Joe Turner collected the 2,216 signatures needed to force the San Bernardino City Council to vote on a proposal that appreciably limits illegal
