BUSH SET FOR IMMIGRATION SPEECH WHITE HOUSE President Bush is getting set for a prime-time speech on Aides note the 8 p-m, Eastern Time, speech will be the president's first from the Oval Office that does not involve Iraq and the war on terrorism. And they say that reflects Bush's He's speaking as the Senate is poised to clear a compromise measure including his idea for a guest worker program. However, a rival House bill is limited to a border crackdown, and meshing the two won't be easy. Stand Up For America ! |
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Legal immigrants pay a lot of money too.
Yes! That is the one I think everyone needs to remember in the next primaries.
THE LESSONS OF UNITED 93
I have just seen United 93, and it is obvious that many Americans have not only forgotten what happened on 9/11 but dont want to be reminded of it. The film is a powerful and disturbing experience. But what rivets the audience is the realization that this is a true story, not a work of fiction, not make-believe. It happened, and there is no reason to believe that it cant happen again.
Fanatical Islam is on the march and it aims to destroy everyone and everything that does not bow down and submit to Allah, the pagan Muslim deity. Considering what happens every day in Iraq, where Islamic fanatics kill other Muslims, who can doubt that Islam is a satanic religion that celebrates murder and mayhem. If we are to restore order to the world, we shall have to defeat this Islamic fanaticism.

Thanks for that link.
I hope GWB will not try to push the "guest worker" program down our throat while paying lip service to border security.
To who?! The coyote's? The immigration attorney's?!
Send them one of these instead of a donation, using the RNC's own postage paid return envelopes!!!
Send one along to a politically like-minded relative or friend who opposes Amnesty, but doesnt visit Free Republic!!!

The RNC will miss your money more than they will miss your vote!!! If you do not have access to a printer, then write Secure Our Borders, Stop Catering to Illegals, Then We Will Send American Dollars or something similar on your donation slip and return it to the RNC in their postage paid envelopes will work as well as sending the peso!!!
If you do want to give financially to Republicans, give only to individual candidates/politicians who support or vote to secure our borders and dont cater to illegals!!!
Another one for the good list?

Legal immigrants have a very tough time of it because they obey the law. They pay immigration attys., yes. Rewarding ILLEGAL immigrants with amnesty is criminal!!
Of course he's going to push amensty and guest worker programs.
This temporary National Guard ploy is an outright ruse to get people he sees as rubes to fall for the amnesty.
He saw trouble brewing, this is his grand gesture - a meager one, and one only temporary, therefore the cheaper labor lobbies and globalists will know Bush is still on their team.
OK good I thought you were defending the illgelas
Correcto in every way, Altura.
I listened to Newt this morning and I agree with every word he said re the illegal invasion.
I love Newt!!
GWB is out of touch on this issue. What's even worse is watching RINO Hagel and his best friend Joe Biden bash the idea of the National Guard on the border. With Republicans like RINO Hagel, we will always have an illegal alien problem.
Local troops may be dispatched to border
California National Guard troops could be called on to help stem the flow of illegal immigrants across the U.S-Mexican border ---- in the San Diego region and elsewhere ---- under proposals being reviewed by Pentagon planners.

U.S. Reps. Duncan Hunter and Darrell Issa said Friday that they support a military presence on the border, but would oppose the use of active-duty personnel.
"We can't deprive the war-fighting theater of troops, but we could use a number of National Guardsmen that aren't scheduled to rotate into Iraq or Afghanistan," said Hunter, R-El Cajon and chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

Legal immigrants don't depress wages. Mass illegal immigration does. Bush's corporate backers pay big lobbying bucks and expect returns. Illegals will be privileged.
It's the economics.
Bush hit a bump in the road. Even the Liberal Media can't keep the people's dissent quiet. Bush's cure for the bump is to offer a very clever ruse - the National Guard.
1. The suckers will fall for the military appeal, photo-ops of strength.
2. the corporate backers can snicker in safety their project plans proceed. Bush's border plan is programed for failure. The NG will have to be removed, and we will have nothing permanent on the border.
Hey, did you miss my posts at the top of this thread?
Or.....?
What's up?
It's a good opportunity for the Dems to pretend they're tough on illegals when they are more pro-cheap labor than the Repubs.
I don't care about them criticizing Bush on they NG. They are right. and not only is it a bad plan, it's an outright pandering trick by Bush and Rove, and nod and a wink to their corporate backers.
Good memory, TE!
Well, it was repeated on Friday if you checked the Day 10 thread for the Caravan.
I heard tell from Lyman with my own ears how the Minutemen were tossed out of McCain's D.C. office!!!
