Headline only so far...
No, The two leaders of the Senate have brought the McCain/Kennedy Amnesty Bill back from the dead...they are good! They hope to have it passed by Memorial Day. I guess that is a fitting date now that I think about it.
I hope so too. But unfortunately, it seems that nothing is helping to bring his ratings up. I seem to keep seeing on even "Fox News" that it's "doom and gloom" poll results all the time! It's either "well maybe if he does this, or maybe if he does that, his polls will go up." Well, they'll go up a point or two once in awhile, but they (the news station people)keep acting as if it's hopeless! I think it's the way they do the polls/poll sampling or something like that. But I don't know. I'm sick of polls!
I froze my ass off in the dark morning and evening hours in front of my polling place holding a Bush sign in 2004. I'm a staunch Republican, President of a Republican Club, Republican Precinct Committeman, voted for Ronald Reagan (yes, I'm getting old), State GOP Delegate, etc. If that helps prove your theory.

sorry to hear it.
I really, truly believe that is a figment of your imagination. I support Bush on just about everything else he does but on immigration he has been an abject failure. His biggest failure is to look to the future and see what his policy will do to America.
Perhaps you' READ a reply for a change instead of being a totally deaf, dumb and blind supporter of GWB. He's a joke and not one to be trusted. Only a leftist like yourself would embrace him.
Where was that poll taken, Laredo, or Brownsville???
I didn't mean that the wall would be unmanned. Of course it would be augmented with sensors and other technology as well as patrols.
Well. Actually, your praying for the President is the best thing you can do in this case. (I know that I pray for him too.) I think he's already decided his next course of action and just about anything we can do wouldn't have any effect between now and then. Let's see what kind of ideas we can come together with and see if any are viable and doable between now and Monday evening.
I will say that the Minuteman Project, despite all of the unfounded allegations and smears, are the ones who did this the right way. It is no coincidance, in my opinion, that the day they rolled in to D.C. with their caravan and rally after a second successful border operation was the day that President Bush announced this speech that is rumored to contain a call for troops on the border. In fact, it was during the rally that Drudge broke the troops on the border story. The MMP stood on the border - I stood with them - for days and days simply observing and reporting, causing this issue to bubble all the way up to the oval office, and putting immense pressure on Washington for substantial change in the way the border and immigration laws are enforced. The Minutemen deserve a ton of credit for this. If you're handing out WTGs!, send some their way.
Shooting's no good, you're probably right. So how `bout one of them `invisible fences'?
Then the only problem is---how to get them to wear those collars . . . . .
Bzzt! Aye yi yi!
Bzzzzzt! Caramba!
Bzzzt bzzzt. Cabron!!!
Bzzzzzzzzzzzt Dios Mio . . . .
What's up with these weird personal reactions? Can't you discuss something rationally? The plain fact is that the vast majority of posters who oppose Bush's handling of border enforcement, contrary to your belief that they are perpetual whiners/trolls, are long-time GOP stalwarts.
He better listen to his base, or he'll be listening to a Dem House reading him the Articles next year.
With my sarcasm button on: Why send in the National Guard to take out the Minutemen? We have their gps location by spy satellite. Do it by remote control with a fleet of drones. You're just not up to the latest technology Sloth!
If he pushed for a wall with a definite timetable and starting date then Bush's ratings would soar.
If he wanted his ratings even higher, he could push for serious tax reform such as a flat tax or FairTax.
The reason why nothing is helping is that they are only perceived as temporary bandaids on issues that need real reform.
It's interesting that for years the Administration (and others) have said you can't just round these people up and kick them out...But oddly, the NEW plan is to tell millions of them they have to go home...
We've had laws for years that tell them to go home...Now we get a new law that says the same thing...That's the NEW plan...Illegal immigration problem solved
I don't know if there are any truly protected posters. But there is no reason to interact with those who would try to get you banned for disagreeing with them, or who would resort to abuse , name calling, or personal attack if you don't cower to their assertions.
You have a right to state your opinion or your thoughts and you have no particular obligation to enter a dialog with anyone. Especially if they lack courtesy. Why waste your time?
And what group of people would that be???
I guess his ratings got to low
