What about analyzing TCP/IP traffic clusters between computer nodes without looking at the contents of the packets? Would that be analogous to analyzing phone number traffic without listening to the calls? Do you all think the government is analyzing internet traffic? Do you have a problem with that?

I just happen to have personal knowledge of a "secret" program in which government operatives have access to records of everyone's personal phone numbers, home and business, along with addresses and business contacts that might be involved with those private citizens.

What is it about the 4th Amendment protection from "unreasonable search" language that people don't understand? Unreasonable does not mean "ANY." We're not insulated from any and/or all searches, some are reasonable. No names are attached to phone numbers here. There aren't enough NSA or Service members in the world to listen to the content of the billions of daily calls.
