***The Secret The GOP Doesn't Want Anyone To Know***
Stardate: 0605.10

Posted on 05/09/2006 8:39:20 PM PDT by The Wizard

Dear Fellow Freepers,

I have listened patiently over the past many months to all the phsyco babbel press reports and polls and all the other tripe the democrat machine delivers through it's spider like media outlets, but the facts remain unchanged:

America loves GWB.....They don't want aliens sapping the system of social resourses dry.....they don't want higher taxes and they do not want every problem solved by a bloated, ineffectual federal government

The democrat colalition of splinter groups is only that; it is not a cohesive organization of dedicated people, striving to make America stronger through self reliance....they are a collection disparte groups only interesed in sucking on the tit of this country, and America doesn't want that.

Despite having the most spinless wussies for senators, the GOP is the only place where Americans can protect their long term future and that is why they will hold both houses for a while to come

And Heaven forbid they ever elect someone with balls, why we might even start being proud of the capitalist system, and democracy again.....

Well said. Our tonedeaf politicians are better that theirs.

With the exception of McBane.

It would be nice though..one huge run to the border just to scare the administration into action.

I will also continue to vote for them, but as I told the RNC when they called asking for money; "You will not see a dime of my money until you stop spending money like democrats and secure our borders". They did a bunch of hemming and hawing, but finally just hung up on me. I feel like I am having a fight with my sister.

Bush is wrong on the border and RIGHT about everything else.

Everything else?

Harriet Miers.

Ted Kennedy's Education Bill.

Minutemen are vigilantes.

Islam is a religion of peace.

Veto pen stuck in a place where the sun doesn't shine.

There are actually quite a few things on which Bush is wrong.

We need to vote for conservatives and only conservatives. If a representative's record starts varying they should be voted out. If they start babbling about coalition efforts and bipartisanship they should be made to hit the road. Should they try to sell outrageous anti-American ideas that spit on our values (while working with outright traitors) they should be dancing at the end of a rope...but we can't do that. We CAN insure that a person like that never attains an office outside of the state that keeps reelecting them.

I feel like I am having a fight with my sister.

Sort of like when Ben Franklin wrote some articles trying to smooth
things over between the colonies and the mother country.
He said something like "Sometimes Mother does crazy things, but
we still love her."

Hopefully Dubya and his missteps and work as an unpaid volunteer
for Vicente Fox won't spell disaster this fall.
I suspect Nancy Pelosi's promise to attempt impeachment may have
saved Dubya's hide for his final two years.

41 conservative, Republican Senators could prevent the Democrats from passing their agenda.

Wouldn't this be better than 60 Republican Senators who aid the Democrats in getting their agenda passed?

No illegal alien or their offspring should be granted citizenship.

I agree completely, just vote for the conservative, but there are occassionally problems, protest and vote for the rat who's even more liberal? If so, you risk having to go 2-6 years before another election and, even then, there's no guarantee that the next one to run on the republican ticket is a conservative, he may be even more liberal than the guy before him. Or do you not vote? Protesting an election is still bad. If the republican liberal wins, they may be an arrogant sob and think they'll still win next election or more or someone worse may come in. I'll sacrifice some for a conservative, though there's only so far that a person can drag me before I move along.

When GWB and the Mexican Communist Party and The Swimmer agree, then I REALLY have to question whether my trust was misplaced. GWB is going to lose one house, and possibly both, this fall, and I have to wonder if his head is so far into his rectum as to cut off the oxygen to his brain.

I think you are right. Although "one issue wonders" seem to abound at the moment, there are still a lot of us who evaluate the President's performance over a broad spectrum of issues, and find, overall, he has done a fine job. I disagree vehemently with him on a couple of issues, but I have to consider everything.

This President has faced an INCREDIBLE number of disasters and/or challenges, both natural and man made. These encompass 9/11, a global war, the last hurricane season, a global fuel shortage, an illegal alien invasion, and an incredibly biased politically motivated lamestream media, just to name a few.

Oh, another one-note-Johnny, huh?
I'm none too pleased, either, with the way Bush and the GOP are trying to sort out the illegal alien issue, but it'll all shake out eventually.

I wrote to the NRC something like this:
Unless the GOP toughens up on illegal immigration and secures our borders, I will not vote Republican in the next election (I will vote for the American Independent Party) and as of now I will stop my monetary support.
I'm even considering changing party afiliation (and, I guess my handle)!!!!!

P.S. And yes, I do like W and agree with him in a lot of other issues. And no, I won't like the Rats taking over but, the GOP needs to be shaken up a little.

"41 conservative, Republican Senators could prevent the Democrats from passing their agenda."

"Wouldn't this be better than 60 Republican Senators who aid the Democrats in getting their agenda passed?"

Uh, no it would not. That would mean Democrat chairs in control of all congressional commitees, including Democrats in a majority of seats on the Judiciary Commitee (forget any conservative nominees).

I have plenty of disagreements with our current congress and Bush too. But I'd much rather work on whipping them into line than let Democrats "fight" the War on Islamofascism. I'm not ready for THAT gamble.

Some on the right are starting to sound like the America-is-bad Kos Kids. I agree with the policies of the right, but I'm not giving up and letting Democrats back in power just out of spite because some things don't go my way.

We have gotten two very good Supreme Court Judges, deposed Saddam, backed up Al Qaeda and the Taliban, planted the seeds of freedom in the ME, disarmed Gaddafi (may his fleas be many), kept Al Gore (OMG) and John Kerry (Aieee!) out of the White House (temporarily), kept Joe Biden out of the Secretary of State chair, cut income, inheritance and capital gains taxes, and we have not been attacked on our soil since 9/11.

I find the above much preferable to the alternative. Now wipe your noses all of you and get back to work, because there is a lot of work to do...

I guess me and my entire circle of conservative friends are misreading the situation.

Not at all unusual for CA conservatives. Did you think Simon had a chance of defeating the worst Governor in CA history? Did you watch in confusion as a pro-abortion, pro-homo, anti-gun Arnold was elected? Why do conservatives in CA think they know a thing about politics, when they have decimated the CAGOP?

We may have to rethink our position.

Good idea.

OK... I guess I got go back to work... just remind me what we are to do here, please.
I am happy to see our country has not been attacked.
I am happy not to pay more taxes to feed and educate the hords of illegals.
I am happy to see, not one but two, conservative Chief Justices who, all in all, might be W's most long-reaching legacy.
I am happy I don't hear Hail To The Chief whenever Horse-face comes into the scene.
What else is there to do? I am happy I got to gloat after the 2004 elections.
I am unhappy (no, make that my blood boils) whenever I see a Mexican flag unfurl in the wind... and above Old Glory (upside down).
My blood boils when I hear the Star Spangled Banner viciously sang in Spanish by a convicted child molester, of all people.
My blood boils when illegals demand in the US rights they did not dare ask for in the hell-hole they came out of.
I have voted in every election possible.
I have supported the GOP with my hard-earned dollars, because I believe you've got to put your money where your mouth is.
I have campaigned for the GOP whehever my job allowed me the time.
