A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

More Warm Fuzzies For The Ladies!
How Do You Like My New Striped Puppy Friend?
How do you like my new striped puppy friend?
Her name is Phoebe and she's kind of small and not at all
Ready to leave the safety of the House and fend for herself
Though she sometimes likes to rear up on her hind legs right before she falls
I guess Phoebe does this to show Who's Boss
But personally, I am at a loss to understand
This very odd looking strategy or plan
For when she rears up on her toes
I just lean in and push on her belly with my nose
She acts very Un-Puppily in other ways
Where I will run and chase a ball all day
Phoebe will sit quietly, not wasting and ounce
Of energy until she decides to cut loose and pounce
Tackling the ball as her claws flail away!
Though her ears don't droop down like mine
Phoebe's ears, eyes and sense of smell are fine
She can touch my paw as the sky is getting dark
And point out something to chase just for a lark
Beyond the Back Yard and over to the Park
Phoebe's an odd little puppy as you can see
I don't know of any puppy who can leap and climb a tree
Like she can. Though she is teaching me to leap the Back Yard Fence
With a bit of reticence, I can leap up to the top and then leap down
Pretty soon, Phoebe will be able to do it with a single bound!
Phoebe doesn't bark like I do. She makes a high odd noise
That sounds a bit like one of my Squeaky-Toys
But we seem to communicate pretty well as children do
Enjoying endless Sunny Days under a solid sky of blue!
