Bush No Longer Seen as Effective Manager (Gallup has Bush @ 31%)
Gallup ^ | 5/8/06

Posted on 05/08/2006 11:34:10 AM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

Along with the lowest overall job approval rating of his presidency, the latest USA Today/Gallup poll gives President George W. Bush record low scores for his handling of a variety of national issues and perceived leadership abilities. Since January, Bush's ratings have fallen most sharply with respect to his handling of energy policy and Iraq.

Conservative support at 52 percent and republican support at 68 percent.

My question is how in the world could bush 18 months ago have had in the 90 percent approval from both. What has changed? If you didn't like him you should have not voted for him and stopped 4 years of non stop bush bashing. You knew all his positions 4 years ago. It makes no sense to vote for someone then bash someone for 4 years.

The liberal media is euphoric about further conservative slippage so the next poll he will be in the twenties. Then when he is in the twenties media will run non stop worst president ever stories.

The bush bashing conservatives don't just want to send bush and message they want him impeached.

When the mass electorate has barely an 8th grade education..

What does it say about Bush when he had 90% approval rating?

That is the gas issue rearing it's ugly head.

If I were Republicans and the President, I would show all the movies in archives of all the Democrats in speeches about how wonderful $5 gas would be.

Though we probably still pay near the lowest cost for oil in the world, the quiet we hear on the conservative side of the isle has allowed Democrats to take advantage of what is in fact their own desired outcome.

Gop can't do anything when the dems have the filibuster.

Gop's biggest problem is they have no power and the public percieves them to have power.

Dems block any good legislation and then blame the gop for doing nothing.

The filibuster system sucks. It would be like having a hung parliament in another country. It is ungovernable and they would call for new elections right away.

"Bush is at 31% approval."

Wow, that is pretty low, wonder if it can drop any lower?

Watch out my friend, you'll get a message fromn Blackirish like the one he sent me: "No Border hijacking." Seems he is definitely hung up on taking Bush's Achilles heel off the table. I don't blame him for wanting to sweep the illegals issue under the rug.

No Border hijacking.

So in your mind, Bush is an inarticulate moron who can barely wipe the drool off his face?

Go back to DU, LP, or CP. They have roughly the same mentality you do.

The border folks are going to get pelosi as speaker of the house.

They are not really for border control or else they wouldn't be doing everything they can to get liberal democrats as leaders of the house.

Without gop leaders in the house pelosi will pass amnesty.

I think the border folks are really buchanhan anti gop voters.

They want to finish off the gop party and they could care less if that means pelosi and conyers in power. They have a hatred for the gop. Give them credit they are doing a great job.

You win, you have bush's approval rating in the sewer. You have made this country a one party system of liberal democrats like pelosi and conyers. You accomplished your goal.

I guess it's hopeless for the Republicans and Bush. They have no chance against the overwhelming force thrown up by the minority party. They're starting to sound like Hillary explaining why she didn't create all those jobs in upstate NY. Her excuse is that the dirty Republicans wouldn't let her have her way.

President Bush managed to win TWO NATIONAL ELECTIONS, so I'd say his comminucation skills are A-OK.

They keep missin' the important part - just 'cause we have a few issues with Pres. Bush and an ineffective, spend-thrift 'Pubbie Congress, why would we vote for commie-pinko Demoncrats?

The border folks are going to get pelosi as speaker of the house.

Which is exactly what they want. Then they can "Impeach BuSHIT".

I think the border folks are really Buchanan anti gop voters.

Most are but some are DU style infiltrators pretending to be conservatives.

If Bush is allowed to be Bush...he can hang with Reagan's wit. But he is supposed to be serious 24/7 with so many bad things happening around him all the time...leaks,hurricanes,tsunami,droughts,gas prices, columbia tragedy, iraq, afghanistan, iran, north korea, border issue, 2000 election, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

The guy can't catch a break.
