PROVIDENCE, R.I. Rep. Patrick Kennedy was still in college when he took elected office as a state representative. Nearly two decades later, he has spent his entire adult life as a lawmaker.
(snip)
In Congress, Kennedy has pushed for greater mental health care coverage, citing his own struggles with depression and addiction.
(snip)
A tennis player and avid reader of biographies and autobiographies, Kennedy has a passion for sailing.
"He can go out and be out of the public eye. It's tranquil, and it's something he enjoys," Marcella said.
(snip)
"He's a warm, nice, optimistic, kind person. That's what comes across one on one,"

Raised in a Culture of Intoxication. Not sure if he's depressed about being a Kennedy or over the 2000 and 2004 elections (P.E.S.T).

I thought rehab was for alcohol, usually.
Did he change his story from pills to alcohol, and isn't what ever bar served him potentially liable by law?

I would like someone to interview Democrat Congressman P. Kennedy's classmates at Providence College in Rhode Island.
My relative graduated with this fellow and said he had major issues while in college that needed to be addressed. Here we are many years later and the same problems have yet to be solved. One Democrat activist in Rhode Island said to me today, Kennedy is toast. He is done. He has had years to resolve these things and we are sick of it. He is done.
I could not believe this Kennedy soldier said it. Wow!

The filing deadline is June 28. There is plenty of time for a credible Republican (even if he or she is a RINO) to start a candidacy.
This may be a case where voters get tired of giving a politician more chances.

Tony Marcella, Kennedy's longtime friend and former chief of staff, painted Kennedy as a workaholic.LOL. No, that would not be the problem we have here.

What the story really says without emphasizing it too much is that Patches (where did that come from?) is Congressman Moneybags for his district/state as well as for the RAT Party. Re-election guaranteed.

Kennedy has a passion for sailing. "He can go out and be out of the public eye. It's tranquil, and it's something he enjoys," and where he can trash someone else's boats to the tune of what - about $24,000 - and refuse to pay for it.
This is truly a barf piece...
