Current Poll - 13% of members will turn it over to the rats????

Posted on 05/06/2006 9:51:50 AM PDT by Sonora

Current poll:

"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____

So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.

Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.

""The pipeline we're talking about furthers globalism. Our President wants globalism. Our Senate wants globalism. The CFR wants globalism.""

guess what I want globalism, globalism has been going on ever since marco polo returned to italy from china

"'Would our politicians vote to go to war if they see it as job security? You decide on the morality of the SOB's we have in office today and you're going to say , "Yes, they probably would", if you are honest with yourself.""

No i dont think they would. Can you give me some recent examples of a war congress approved that should never have been fought, but was fought just for congress' job security

I and love your sanctimonious self rightousness that i must agree with you Kooky conspiracy theories if i am to be "honest with myself"

I certainly support our president even though I have differences of opinion with some of his decisions.

I would rather be known as a Bush supporter than known for voting for a third party loser.

Sort of like voting for Ross Perot putting the Democrats back in power, there by hastening the demise of my beloved country.

Perot pulled the wool over lots of peoples eyes, about 17,000,000 fell for his line of bull.

Count me in with the 13% but don't blame me, blame the idiots we voted into office the last time we thought they were conservatives.

You're on the list.

Which of course isn't what he said.

Reading comprehension. It's not just for breakfast anymore.

If you're willing to put Democrats in office by going third party or sitting out, well, then you're way wrong. That isn't the Reagan way.

I've enjoyed the conversation but you and I are not going to agree on this one. I will vote against those Republicans who have not performed this year (I only get to vote against my congressman). I really believe this is the only way to revitalize the conservative movement. 2008 will be our year but only if 2006 is the year of the Democrat. It's an unfortunate situation but it is what it is.

What he said is that if they saw it as job security, they probably would. That's not a conspiracy theory. It's just an observation on human nature.

Most would say he is a good conservative - I don't. He partakes far too often in earmarks (the root of political corruption) and has not fought against the exploding growth of the federal government. Every time he was on the local radio he was bragging about the dollars (pork) he was bringing home.

Bush SR lost because of his on stupidity and arrogance and nothing more. The nation gave a Reagan mandate two terms in a row and figured wrongly that Bush SR would follow in it. He wasted not one minute undoing the Reagan legacy and putting his beloved Rockefeller Republican policies and friends into place. These are not persons who function on logic and common sense they govern by spite. The Pentagon crossed me says Cheney well I'll show them Bye Bye future F-14's yuck yuck yuck. That will teach them.

If Bush SR had not been so pathetic a POTUS Perot would have probably saved his time and money. No I didn't vote for Perot. I even voted for Dole in 1996 and that was the last time I voted GOP in the POTUS General Election.

It really takes the cake. You you curse the DEMs and love support the man unconditionally who told you very plainly he was not that far apart on most issues with Al Gore. So what did that make him? It sure didn't make him Ronald Reagan as some love to think it did.

I disagree. We can't let Democrats get a toe-hold of power anywhere.

You should take note though, even with the childish wording of the poll, a significant number of conservatives are choosing to boot the Republicans from office. I suspect if this were a legitimate poll the numbers would be much higher.

You don't have to "suspect" anything. Just look at the previous poll. A majority of freepers answered that they would not vote for either of the main parties if the Republicans don't get their act together.

no just fed-up with weak in effective "pleasers" who have gotten the reins of power at RINO-HQ!

I guess we need a train wreck.

COMMENT:

I am a proud and loyal and unabashed supporter of our president.

I don't have to apologize to any one for what or who I think can best do the right job for America.

George Bush is damn sure a hell of a lot more of a man than the Philandering Billy J. Clinton, Environmental Wacko Al Gore or that Traitor John Kerry.

You say you haven't voted for a Republican candidate since Dole so I can very well understand your hemorrhoid's starting to pucker in your shorts.

There isn't a Democrat alive that can, by the very nature of the party, be a better candidate than any Republican that could possibly run for the presidency.

Hellary Klinton thinks she can run the country by turning all our cities into villages.

I am sure as soon as she has her sex change operation Hellary will feel qualified to be one of the great men of the Demagogue party Oops Democrat party.

I support George Bush as president.

I support the Republican party as the alternative Demagogue party Oops Democrat party is beyond pale.

So what's the plan of the other 87%?

My plan is to not work to help Snowe. She's secure. I am focusing on our governor race. I will be supporting whoever the republican is. Baldacci's destroying the state. Also, there's a female republican running against Tom Allen. I will be supporting her.

Other than that... I can use the time I would have used for Snowe to help Santorum and Talent and other vulnerable republican candidates.

If your state is secure this 2006 I recommend others do the same. ADOPT A CANDIDATE

ELECTION 2006 LINKS

Another thing I plan on doing is posting articles I see here at FR in other newsgroups where everybody is NOT a republican. Sometimes we forget that we are preaching to the choir and we need to go out among the "sinners" and spread the good news of conservatism. So I often combat the liberal moonbats in USENET / GOOGLE POLITICAL NEWSGROUPS

I also recommend joining (for free) this wonderful site called www.gopteamleader.com

IMHO, it is the Republican majority who has dug that hole, not the voters!

But, rest assured, this libertarian will never vote for ANY Democrat (The Party of Perjury and Obstruction of Justice, let's not forget...)

"guess what I want globalism, globalism has been going on ever since marco polo returned to italy from china"

Yup, but I want a President that wants to maintain our EXISTING national borders! "

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

quote from the Constitution, "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;"

The Presidential Oath says he is agreeing to "repel Invasions", even the unarmed invasions! This guy needs to read his oath again.

Yes, another sales pitch of "at least they're not as bad as the other guys". Here's a clue: That will always be the case, because no matter how bad the Republicans get, the Democrats will move the goal posts to prevent the Republicans from catching up to them. That's why voting GOP unconditionally will all but guarantee a continued slide towards socialism.
