An article on L’Opinione reports (in Italian) that anti-globalization and communist groups based in Italy, among which is the infamous “anti-imperialist camp” (that collecting “Euros for the Iraqi resistance”) coordinated with Islamic terrorists in Iraq to attack our troops in Nassiryiah. The Italian intelligence heard phone conversations in which the red fundamentalists instructed the Islamists about how and when to kill our soldiers. It seems that the attack was organized in order to pressure Mr. Prodi to speed the pullout from Iraq.
And of course all was coordinated by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I am sorry that I can’t find the English translation of some must-read news and reports, but if you can manage to translate them by yourself, please read this news about the anger of many Carabinieri at the new-born Prodi government. When the coffins with the bodies of the three fallen heroes were staying in a governmental palace in Rome, some of the dead’s colleagues (Carabinieri) expressed their unwillingness to accept the ‘condolances’ of Prodi and company. One of the Carabinieri said that the troops in Iraq strongly disagree with Prodi’s choice to pullout them.
The relatives of the three killed soldiers have expressed their pride in their sons’ mission. “He deeply believed that his mission in Iraq was for a just cause. I am sad but at the same time very proud of my son. I hope that his sacrifice won’t be forgotten and won’t be in vain” said the mother of one of those heroes.
Today, some exalted communists wasted no time to shout once again that infamous and terrorist phrase “10,100,1000 Nassiryiahs” echoing Che Guevara’s “10,100,1000 Vietnams”.
If this isn’t incitement to hatred and terrorism, then I don’t know what it is.

btw, when will any real investigation ever be done of that Srgena witch and the whole scam of hers that led to the death of that Italian agent and unfair blame placed upon US troops who were only acting rationally? Bet she was well-versed (as a commie slut) in how to undermine the mission in Iraq.

Caduto il “politically correct” adesso qualcuno lo dice a chiare parole: sono veramente sospetti i tempismi degli attentati contro gli italiani a Nassyria. Come se una mente li suggerisse dall’Italia. E se quella mente esistesse davvero non potrebbe che essere una di quelle degli amici dei resistenti iracheni qui da noi. I no global di alcuni centri sociali che da sempre si contraddistinguono per quel soccorso rosso a tutti i movimenti guerriglieri del mondo che poi non è altro che dare ospitalità ai latitanti: dell’Eta o di al Zarqawi poco importa. Da un informatissimo articolo di Gian Marco Chiocci su “Il giornale” si viene ad esempio a sapere che sarebbero quattro i nominativi top secret più accreditati quali “ufficiali di collegamento” lungo l'asse Roma-Nassirya. Tracce di suddetti contatti con l'Italia sarebbero saltate fuori nelle scorse settimane nei canali Internet, “attraverso segmenti telefonici captati dai satelliti”, seguendo quella linea grigia che la nostra intelligence batte da quando si è constatato che nel video della violentissima battaglia di Nassirya proprio nelle riprese fatte dai mujiahedin armati di bazooka, mortai e mitragliatori, una voce fuori campo incitava i combattenti a uccidere i crociati, gli infedeli, gli occupanti occidentali. L’ancora anonimo telecronista dei terroristi diceva “dai, dai... spara...” E poi: “Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar!”.
Questo sospetto che già aveva lambito l’inchiesta per la prima strage di Nassyria, quella con 19 vittime, adesso sta diventando qualcosa di più grande di un semplice sospetto. Ora si parla di indizi. D’altronde che nell’acqua dei tanti campi anti imperialisti (dove ex terroristi di destra e di sinistra si uniscono ai resistenti iracheni e a aspiranti kamikaze) potessero nuotare i pesci, anzi gli squali, che arruolano i kamikaze che vanno a farsi esplodere in Iraq è ormai una certezza. Al seguito di Kharfas Aws Mohammad molti già si sono fatti esplodere. Il problema è ora individuare chi dall’Italia potrebbe avere dato l’ordine di uccidere altri italiani con lo scopo di precipitare le decisioni politiche dell’ancora costituendo governo Prodi in senso fortemente “zapaterista”. Cioè ci si ritira tutti e subito. Senza attendere lo scadenzario già deciso dal governo Berlusconi e concordato tanto con il governo provvisorio iracheno quanto con le amministrazioni degli alleati. E di colpire “solo gli italiani"”, secondo l’articolo di Chiocci, parlerebbe una delle più recenti informazioni intercettate. La coincidenza con il ricambio di governo, secondo gli uomini della sicurezza irachena, andava raccolta al volo nella speranza di sortire un nuovo effetto Zapatero. Colpire invece prima delle elezioni avrebbe potuto sortire un effetto boomerang, rafforzando il governo Berlusconi come avvenne con Blair all'indomani dell'attacco di Londra.
L’articolo di Chiocci punta il dito su nomi noti della galassia eversiva e para tale del bel paese. “Nomi notissimi che si sono affacciati alle riunioni di Assisi, che girano il Bel paese in cerca di fondi e nuovi supporter nei centri sociali, nelle organizzazioni pseudopacifiste, in alcune Ong di comodo, tra i seguaci del Campo Antimperialista (fautore della campagna internazionale "10 euro per la resistenza irachena") e di alcune sigle dell'antagonismo marxista-leninista (dai Cpc veneti e pugliesi al C.A. Malgo Zonta fino a Soccorso popolare) che fanno dell'antimperialismo e dell'anticapitalismo il proprio grido di battaglia.” Questa gente rappresenta il brodo di coltura dei simpatizzanti della resistenza irachena e non è azzardato pensare che qualcuno di loro si spinga fino a dare ospitalità ai latitanti e conosca quindi in anticipo cosa bolla in pentola. Attentati in Iraq compresi. Guarda caso si tratta delle stesse sigle che compaiono quando vengono bruciate in piazza le bandiere di Israele e degli Stati Uniti. Chi si assomiglia si piglia.

Predictably, no. Chavez, VENEZ, created sufficient noise to drown out the "burying" of Free Italy/Berlesconi.
... and maybe it'll hit "MSM" level when the "love Italy" liberals and liberal academics begin having "emminant domain" pulled on their lofty little properties and villas in Italy. "It's for the cause" will be the reason d etat.

This is a GREAT article. I wondered just what the story was on this deal. I had read some allegations on another web, but these are the first anywhere near hard facts I've seen.
Italy has always had a commie party, but I had no idea they were still pulling this kind of crap. They used to satisfy their need for bloodshed by kidnapping and killing prominent Italian citizens, not they've graduated to international terrorism. I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

I can read Italian; the long article says that "indictments" could follows the suspicions that some Italian groups helped to kill the Italian soldiers in Iraq so that Prodi has a justification to pull all the soldiers out without following the timetable established by Berlusconi.
