France's prime minister said Thursday that military action is not the solution to the international standoff over Iran's nuclear program.
French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin said the war in Iraq should serve as a warning against attacking Iran.
"My conviction is that military action is not the solution," Villepin said at a monthly news conference. "We have already lived through this type of scenario and we know that not only does it settle nothing, but it can raise risks. We have seen this in the most clear way with Iraq."

I find it amusing that Villepin would think anyone cares what a Frenchman has to say about going to war. The French are the experts on things such as dirty postcards, anti-Semitism, collaboration and ingratitude. When it comes to defending the Free World against evil, step aside surrender monkeys.

de Villepin's polling numbers are much worse than Bush's. I'm in Paris, right now and there are billboards with his picture saying "Le Watergate"
The emminent de Villepin surrenders.

If France had not corrupted the Iraq situation so much and taken billions from Saddam...and actually helped us in Iraq...we would have prevented 30% of the problems we have faced with their support either financially or militarily.
This is complete garbage from the French again and they need to be reduced to the level of the Bahamas as far as importance on the world stage.

Translation: France has already surrendered to disenfranchised youts of middle eastern decent and therefore our yearly quota of white flags has been used.

This from a man whose country was up to their scrawny, yellow necks in the OIL FOR FOOD scandal.
Whose country was providing weapons materials that were used to kill American and coalition forces in Iraq.

Yes, their solution is appeasement and the WHITE FLAG.

I agree about the French corruption hurting us in IRAQ. I am not so sure about them helping us militarily. French Military? That sounds like an oxymoron to me.

France's government is inept at fighting street crime - I am certain that the concept of war is way beyond their reach.
